Sex & Nudity

Violence & Gore

  • From a first-person perspective, the player can traverse and explore several zones in the open world environment, and will have to complete a variety of missions to progress the storyline. In the course of gameplay, supplies and valuables can be scavenged, and the player can also buy, upgrade and customize weapons. Brady will battle enemies, comprising mainly KPA soldiers and drones, with a variety of weapons such as pistols, rifles and explosives.
  • Enemies can also be eliminated with 'takedown' melee moves, or burned to death with incendiary weapons like flamethrowers and Molotov cocktails.
  • The level of violence is realistic, with frequent depictions of blood splatter and cries of pain when characters are attacked or killed.
  • During exploration, the player may encounter acts of violence such as oppressed civilians being attacked or executed by KPA soldiers.
  • Enemies set alight by incendiary weapons will scream and flail about before being burnt to death.
  • The 'takedown' moves depict enemies having their necks snapped, throats slit or heads stabbed with a knife.
  • Some cinematic scenes also depict violence, such as captives being tortured and executed during interrogation, a man being shot several times at point-blank range, and another being stabbed in the back of the head.
  • Overall, the realistic violence featured in the game, such as killing, maiming and/or causing serious injury to humanoid characters is depicted but not sadistic, cruel and/or abhorrent.

Profanity

  • There is very frequent use of coarse language in the game, where 'motherfucker,' as well as 'fuck' and its variations can be heard in the dialogue.

Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

Frightening & Intense Scenes

  • 'Homefront: The Revolution' is an action first person shooter set in the year 2029 in Philadelphia, where North Korea has invaded and occupied the United States. The main protagonist, Ethan Brady, is a member of the local resistance force trying to lead an uprising against the oppressive Korean Peoples Army (KPA).
  • Due to the game's inclusion of strong coarse language and violence, it is recommended for players aged 18 and above.
