- The ENTIRE film has a very depressing (And not Uplifting whatsoever) tone to it. The film's about a kid who gets cancer, goes through remission twice only to get sick again and eventully succuumb to it. As well.as showing the toll his sickness took on his loved ones, including how his brother was driven to attempt suicide THREE times.
- A little girl the main character befriendes suddenly dies from cancer
