A different documentary from EBC

Warning: Spoilers
An average or maybe a nice documentary from Korea. It shows you the life of the titans of the ice age like the mammoths or tigers and etc... the main story is about a mammoth and its children. and a nice music this has... amazon review: This DVD is a Korean production, made by the same company that did "Tarbosaurus, the mightiest ever". The animation quality is good and fans of prehistoric mammals will not be disappointed. The only down side is that not all that much dramatic action occurs during the film. There is really only one crisis moment when the baby mammoth is in danger from a pride of Smilodon. Any serious paleontology fan will know that Smilodon, the saber toothed cat, did not live along with the Woolly Mammoth, but resided south in areas like present day Los Angeles. Still, I chose not to let this inaccuracy bother me and just enjoy the story. I think if it was Cave Lions instead, I would have no critical basis for scientific flaws. Well worth it if you are the type who subscribes to Prehistoric Times magazine, or just loves prehistoric life.

Please don't watch.

This documentary is a clear rip off pretty much being an extended worse version of Mammoth Journey from Walking with Prehistoric Beasts. The effects aren't the best especially since the thing its trying to copy had amazing effects for the time and are still ten times better than this documentary's effects eventhough it predates this documentary by 9 years. The length is it worse quality, it felt like 10 years had been taken off my life. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because there are accurate depictions of the Mammoths advertised, but even then it's only because Mammoth Journey did it 9 years earlier.

This is what I wrote on Amazon after making the best DVD purchase.

The film is educational and cinematic! We see the world through the eyes of the Mammoth. Mamu is the name of the protagonist, a female mammoth, and we witness her struggle against: climate, Woolly Rhinoceros, Eurasian Cave Lions, (misplaced) "Sabre-toothed Tigers" and humans.

Note: The "Sabre-toothed Tigers" appear to be Smilodon, but are anatomically more similar to Machairodus. In addition, Machairodus was extinct by the time this film takes place, and Smilodon never lived in Korea or Siberia. But they are more formidable-looking than Homotherium, a descendant of Machairodus which lived worldwide during the Ice Age and had shorter teeth (but were famous for Mammoth killing, wheras Smilodon wasn't).
