Best street documentary of 2014
davidrustydog28 August 2014
These streets of Los Angeles are no joke. This is the rawest documentary I have seen. Kudos to the director and the host for showing the world what really goes on in the streets of downtown, la.

This is something every kid needs to watch and I suggest this needs to be in festivals and we have ask ourselves.. what are we doing? are we naive about this situation we have in downtown or are we just closing one eye and saying yes thats where all the 'bad" and "homeless" people hang out?

Netherless this is the best street documentary I have seen yet. 9 out of 10.

This is too real, wish this won awards but was rejected due to the subjects. We need a part two!

Los Scandalous - Skid Row" is a documentary that dives deep into the lives of people living in Skid Row, Los Angeles. It shines a light on the struggles, resilience, and humanity of a community often overlooked and stigmatized. The film offers a raw and unfiltered look at the reality of homelessness, addiction, and survival in one of the most notorious areas in LA.

The filmmakers do a great job of balancing the harsh realities with moments of hope and resilience. It's not just a depressing story; it's a powerful look at how people find ways to live and even thrive in incredibly tough circumstances. The personal stories are compelling and give a face to the often faceless issue of homelessness.

Overall, "Los Scandalous - Skid Row" is a thought-provoking and eye-opening documentary that challenges viewers to see the humanity in everyone, no matter their circumstances. It's a must-watch for anyone interested in social issues and the complexities of urban life.

Immature & Exploitative
lucisbackonimdb10 July 2016
There are 100's of documentaries telling the story of homelessness, the impoverished, abused & addicted. The ones I've seen allow the people to tell their stories and respect their space. This one is concerning with the pseudo presenter/ local liaison, not only does he have his own agenda but he is a bully. To make a documentary about these people, to really allow them to tell their story, is different from going around probing people mercilessly to find out what their drug of choice is, what their gender is, how they're feeling the second they inject/smoke their drugs, and other insignificant details. Overall it lacks the honesty I've seen in other less invasive documentaries on the same subject. The 'interviewer', if you can call him that, sets up the subject as if to answer a multiple choice question. I'm surprised someone funded it (who produced it??) and that it has such a high rating on here. I usually trust IMDb ratings but after wasting money on renting this I won't anymore. I truly regret spending money on something so exploitative.
