Haunting little film

Warning: Spoilers
"Child of Rage" is an American television documentary from 25 years ago that runs for 27 minutes only. Most of it is basically an interview with a little girl who was sexually abused and, consequently, became a sexual offender herself after that. This is very shocking material and quite sad to watch. Still, I must say this documentary is a bit of a double-edged sword for me. I wonder how the grown-up Beth Thomas thinks about this movie today as it is something she can never make undone again with her depiction of being an offender and a victim in here and she was obviously to small to decide if she would want such a film to be made. Then again, this movie is not too well-known, so most people who come across her today will probably never see it or hear about it. Finally, a comment on authenticity. Of course, it is not possible to say 100% that this is real and not fake, but I am fairly certain this isn't staged. Maybe it should have been though and based on recordings from real sessions with a child actress as this could have protected the anonymity of Beth Thomas. I really wonder what she is up to today and what she thinks about this film now in her 30s. All in all, a fairly memorable little movie, but I still have to criticize the motives behind it.

Before i start this review, yes i already seen the Child of Rage movie from 1992 and i really enjoyed it. After watching this, they did hit the nail pretty well. The movie was based on this case, and both of the movies are haunting. This is a documentary rather then a movie. There isn't much to say since it's a documentary, a interview with a victim of horrible abuse, and how she thanks God got cured from all the abuse.

I only got one negative and that's i need subtitles. I watched this without and multiple times the audio is pretty bad it was really hard to understand what she was saying and others. The audio isn't the best here, but everything else is a important story to listen to, just like 3096 Natasha's case is important, i think Child of Rage fits in the same boat of recovering and trying to get back on your feet after going through hell.
