Good production, unoriginal

This budgeted would-be festival short features some nice photography and vfx touches, however there's something amiss about this Sci-Fi allegory about colonialism and alienation in the South Pacific.

Mhaireid Connor, the producer/presenter came off as pretentious at the screening, claiming to be part of an established film movement which didn't exist.

At 17 minutes running time, would rather see a competent and engaging set up and pay off but the filmmakers seem more interested in indulging their interests in cinematography and post production to concern themselves with saying anything memorable.

Well worth watching. Greg King has put together a well crafted story.

I loved the twist that the story contains. It is well worth watching and will keep the viewer guessing at which direction that this movie is going. Is it all in Brains head or is there something more sinister happening. The endearing grandfather spinning stories of hes own boyhood/ manhood. Are they just stories or did he really do these things? Is Brains just escaping his drugged out, drug dealing, good time parents , hanging out for a bit of hope of something better in his life or is he about to help save the universe. The visual content and the camera angles all help to make this masterpiece. The music is well chosen and helps build the tension and inner darkness of this short movie. Cheers Greg King a well written and well put together short movie.
