As the title states...this was an exceptional season finale to a wonderful show. Many issues were resolved. And resolved well. Tensions that built throughout the entire 3 seasons climaxed successfully in this well crafted finale. The dialogs were top notch. The story arcs were logical and powerful. And the sense of satisfaction was generously delivered and much appreciated. The writers and directors of this show tackled harsh realities and exposed the underbelly of human nature. But they managed to do it without falling into cheap soap opera melodramatic ploys. Rarely does a show manage to draw viewers in when showcasing profoundly damaged protagonists. It's easier when dealing with antagonists. But Ripper Street did it masterfully, and "The Peace of Edmund Reid" captured every nuance that had been building and totally nailed it. Kudos to the actors, writers and producers of this wonderful series.
