  Dawson : Meaning what?

  Emily Strand : Ever watch Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, Paranormal Challenge?

  Dawson : I like cooking shows.

  Emily Strand : I don't have a daughter.

  Dawson : Well then you have a little person with pigtails who showed me in.

  Emily Strand : It must be Will's daughter, he sometimes brings her to work with him.

• Chase : Emily, you better see this, it says 1993 on it.

  Dawson : [unimpressed]  It's a 20 year old picture.

  Emily Strand : It's Lacey.

  Cassy : How is this possible?

  Emily Strand : The occult.

  Cassy : What's the occult?

  Emily Strand : In some parts of the world it's believed that in exchange for allowing a demon into our world, that you can spend time with a loved one who's left it.

• Emily Strand : Let's check the downstairs exits next.

  Dawson : What about the 4th floor?

  Chase : We've never been up there.

  Dawson : Well I saw a fire escape, maybe we can climb down.

  Cassy : It's worth a shot.

  Emily Strand : We don't have the keys for that floor.

  Dawson : The bolt looks pretty flimsy on that thing, I think with one good kick it could come off. I can't believe you guys have never been to the 4th floor.

  Emily Strand : Well there's no reason for us to be up there. Most of the paranormal activity takes place on the 3rd floor and below.

  Dawson : Okay, wait a second. You're trying to tell me that in a haunted hospital, where thousands of people have died, over nearly a century, there's been no activity above the 3rd floor? Do you find that a little odd?

• Dawson : These are hospital records, what're they doing down here?

  Emily Strand : It's only a fraction of them, 2/3 were destroyed when the hospital closed.

  Cassy : Think I get why this place is so active.

  Dawson : I don't understand it.

  Cassy : Poor record keeping, located in east LA. U know how many John Does came through here?

  Dawson : So what if there were a lot of John Does? Why's that matter?

  Chase : The John Does were just incinerated, bodies never got a proper burial.

• Emily Strand : [unleashing the elemental in the hospital chapel]  Welcome to my world, asshole!

• Cassy : [finds a satanic shrine]  What the?

  Dawson : I take it you didn't know about this.

  Emily Strand : I haven't been up here in years.

  Cassy : Will must've built this, he's the only one with keys up here.

  Emily Strand : I just can't believe he'd be into this sort of thing, it doesn't make any sense.

• Emily Strand : Cassy, would you put my cell phone in the van?

  Cassy : [sarcastically]  Oh sure, I love being your personal secretary.

  Emily Strand : You know cell phones mess with the equipment big time.

• Dawson : [grabs Emily before she falls down the elevator]  Whoa whoa whoa!

  Emily Strand : [gasps]  Oh God.

  Dawson : You almost walked through that elevator shaft.

  Emily Strand : How did this door open?

  Dawson : Didn't you call the elevator?

  Emily Strand : No, this elevator hasn't worked in years.

• Dawson : You really love this place, don't you?

  Emily Strand : More like love/hate. Do you know anything about Linda Vista?

  Dawson : I know it opened in 1904 and was closed in 1991 due to a ton of malpractice lawsuits, rightly so, that's about it.

  Emily Strand : One incident in particular, remind me to tell you about it sometime.

• Emily Strand : [to a maleficent spirit]  LEAVE HER ALONE! If you do not walk in the light of God, I command you to leave now!

• Chase : I've never seen a spirit before.

  Emily Strand : That wasn't a spirit, that was something else. I've never seen that before.

  Chase : Any ideas or...

  Emily Strand : No, not really. I'll have to do some research.

• Emily Strand : [about an elevator that hasn't worked in years]  Are you sure you saw this door open?

  Dawson : They're open, aren't they?

• Dawson : The owners wanted me to discuss the claims you've been throwing around about the place.

  Emily Strand : Such as?

  Dawson : The crazy ghost stories.

  Emily Strand : It's not just me. There are plenty of ghost documentaries that were shot here too.

  Dawson : Okay, look, these claims can ultimately hurt the sales of the place when we're finished here, so...

  Emily Strand : Hey, if you want to build apartments in a haunted building, have at it.

• Emily Strand : Do you have a plan for dealing with all the paranormal activity here?

  Dawson : Claiming this hospital is haunted isn't going to stop this project.

  Emily Strand : So you're a skeptic.

  Dawson : I don't believe in ghosts. I believe there's a viable explanation for anything labeled supernatural.

  Emily Strand : Do you know how many Los Angeles residents have died here?

  Dawson : I'm sure quite a few.

  Emily Strand : Many of those spirits have never moved on. That's why we hear noises, voices, we see things move.

  Dawson : Voices? Really? And those can't be explained from other sources like, animals, or wind, or pipes?

  Emily Strand : I'm a professional, we debunk those first. Ever since it was announced that your company was going to redevelop the property, the paranormal activity here has increased tenfold.

• Cassy : Just a suggestion, you might want to be a little softer with the clients.

  Emily Strand : What're you talking about?

  Cassy : You were pretty abrupt with Manuel and Laticia tonight.

  Emily Strand : Really?

  Cassy : Yeah.

  Emily Strand : Wow... jeez, I didn't even realize, I just get so focused. I feel really bad.

  Cassy : It's okay, I told them not to take it personally, and that you were a cold heartless bitch to everyone.

  [they laugh] 

  Emily Strand : Sometimes I think I relate better to the dead than the living.

• Emily Strand : [reading]  These forces are best lest to religious professionals, trained priests, etc. Elementals usually attach themselves to a person but have been known to also favor a particular location. In rare occasions they will even haunt other dead spirits. Elementals can pass between planes existent of this form, and must become solids to inflict harm, must be conjured or welcomed to exist in our plane.'

  [pause] 

  Emily Strand : So who invited you to the party?

• Emily Strand : Chloe, can you hear me? Chloe, can you do this?

  [pounds on wall] 

  Dawson : Why don't you try 'Shave and a Haircut'?

• Emily Strand : [calling the spirits]  I'm injured, can anyone help me?

  Chase : [Dawson shoots him a look]  Well one of our strategies is to put ourselves in their world.

  Dawson : [mocking]  I've fallen and I can't get up!

  Chase : *Now* you're getting it.

• Emily Strand : Chase, Cassy, this is Dawson, he's with the company that's redeveloping the property.

  Chase : Okay that makes sense. When I walked in here today, it felt like death.

• Lacey : They don't like you, you know.

  Dawson : Yeah.

  Will : Sweetie, that wasn't very nice.

  Lacey : I didn't say it, they said it.

  Dawson : Nice guys, really, I know you don't like me, but prompting the kid?

  Emily Strand : Wasn't us. Who doesn't like him, sweetie?

  Lacey : The people here.

  Emily Strand : What do they say?

  Lacey : They're mad, *real* mad.

  Emily Strand : Why're they mad?

  Lacey : Cuz you're gonna tear the place down.

  Dawson : Not gonna tear this place down.

  Lacey : They'll have nowhere to live.

  Dawson : Gonna fix the place up, make it really pretty.

  Lacey : They're gonna get you.

  Will : Sweetie, if I take you to work, you have to be nice to the people, okay?

  Lacey : Okay.

  Chase : Yeah, but he doesn't count though.

• Chase : What was that?

  Emily Strand : An elemental.

  Dawson : What's an elemental?

  Emily Strand : A demon.

• Dawson : Open the door.

  Emily Strand : I didn't lock the door, I don't know how it got locked.

  Dawson : Alright, alright, alright, I was gonna wait until later, I might as well tell you now. This building has changed hands, you have one week to vacate.

  Emily Strand : One week? That's it? It's gonna take at least 2 weeks just to get the cameras down.

  Dawson : Not my problem.

  Chase : Man, you're not getting it. We didn't lock the doors.

  Cassy : We didn't!

  Dawson : Alright then, who did?

  Emily Strand : It's an old building, lots of things break.

• Emily Strand : Hey guys, check out the second floor. There's a lot of activity today.

  Cassy : Yeah, they're pissed at Dwayne here.

  Dawson : Dawson.

  Chase : [to the screen]  Danny here's gonna tear your place down.

• Emily Strand : We've had contact with a few spirits here: Chloe, Shadow Man or Grumpy Old Man, the nurse down in the ER.

• Emily Strand : We have to avoid mirrors.

  Dawson : Why?

  Emily Strand : The demon is using mirrors to move through the building.

  Chase : Great, this is a hospital, there's a mirror in every damn room!

  Emily Strand : In patient rooms, yes, so we have to avoid those.

• Dawson : Is there a window we can jump out of?

  Emily Strand : They're all boarded shut, too many vandals. Every window on the first two floors is either boarded shut or has wire nailed over it.

  Dawson : What about this floor? I mean the first floor's what, half way underground? I mean the drop from the third's gotta be what, 20 feet?

  Emily Strand : I don't know.

  Dawson : [yells]  What do you mean you don't know?

  Emily Strand : I never contemplated jumping out of a third floor window before! I don't know how high they are!

  Dawson : Well let's go find out.

  [finds a window, looks down] 

  Dawson : Shit, that's higher than I thought.

  Chase : [sarcastic]  Do you still want to jump?

• Chase : [about the occultist temple]  What do we do with all this stuff?

  Dawson : We're not touching anything.

  [walks away] 

  Dawson : We're not touching anything.

  Chase : Come on, man, it's not like you're gonna be infected by it.

  [smashes it] 

  Emily Strand : Chase, stop!

  Chase : What?

  Emily Strand : Move now! If a demon is connected to the temple, you just let it know where we're at! We have to go now!

• Emily Strand : You guys can't just run like that!

  Cassy : I'm sorry!

  Chase : I don't know about you, but when I see 15 spirits all running for their lives, I'm getting the hell out of there. And what was that other sound?

  Emily Strand : The elemental is eating the orbs.

  Cassy : What?

• Emily Strand : We have to get out of here, whatever you do, don't show the elemental your fear. It feeds off fear, it can smell it.

  Dawson : Right, stay calm, something's chasing us, I should stay calm.

• Chase : [a patient folder falls on the floor]  Daisy Strand, that's funny, she has the same last name as...

  Cassy : It's your sister. This is what you've been looking for.

  Chase : [to Emily]  I am so sorry. I didn't know you had a sister here.

  Emily Strand : The hospital wouldn't give us any paperwork, and it closed right after she passed.

• Dawson : I'm not going down there until I know it's clear.

  Emily Strand : Wait here then.

  Cassy : I'll go with you.

  Chase : Good idea, let's split up, that always works for the better.
