Fresh story, Realistic, motivating, romantic, entertaining...
rguddu_india27 April 2021
...and even educational if u want to learn about medical terms. Loved it!

The girl is a gem, the male is ok, but both likeable. Many predictable cheesy moments like female lead unnecessarily spending time with second male lead, but not irritating enough. The male's mother acted superb towards the end. I liked the final 4-5 episodes where it's unhindered romance galore, like two husband-wife who met years later and reenact their old love- dine, feed, relax in the countryside, babysit, talk making own baby, tease the partner sexually.

The medical surgery scenes were realistic, with a lot of blood and gore, so my mom found it disturbing. Some sexually explicit scenes like the male touching the female's breast with a stethoscope-- super funny, but noteworthy. A lot of poignant moments.

If the chemistry was better/realistic in the final episodes, i would give it 9+/10.

Genre: medical, romance, divorce, restart, redemption, love triangle, single mom, educational, student, gore.

Good, but could have been lot better.
jaseemp30 July 2020
The show is good from the beginning itself. But it could have been lot better. The writers were trying to add those old cheesy moments through out. I lost count how many times the phone rang when somebody was about to reveal something. It was so frustrating. Also the last two episodes was really unnecessary. They should have wrapped it up in the 19th episode itself. Overall the show is good. A mix of Romance, comedy, busy life of doctors in the ER. Both leads are great.

Fresh and funny
em_13-608-15426723 January 2017
I really enjoy Asian films and especially series. They are lacking the historical heavy tradition of the European films (France, Italy, Spain mainly) and they make really funny light series. Easy to watch and relax.

My view is this series would be great for people who enjoy funny stories, mixed with serious content and the reactions only Koreans (or Asians in general) are capable of.

Scenario is fresh and full of moments where main characters "re-discover" themselves step after step. I didn't see the usual bad guys who was really bad, here we see an easy going story with only few major downs.

Brace yourself, get some snack and see if you're going to like this story, worth spending leisure time with this series.

Korean drama at its best
oana-pintilie15 April 2014
Warning: Spoilers
This is a wonderful series. I wish Korean drama would last for more than 20 episodes. This series has a lot of elements that I like in a show: smoking chemistry between the main characters and good story lines. Even though most of the action happens in the hospital, the acting is so magnificent that you will forget about other details. All the members of the cast are carrying the storyline very well and it has become one of my favorite series. I was a bit worried about watching a Korean drama since I know that they downplay the of women characters. This series had a very strong lead lady and the other women in the show are equally feisty and cool. I am looking forward to watching it again.

this should be on your list

I love every bit of its story. The characters and everything. I also love the fact that I get to know such things regarding medical stuff. The plot of the story is very refreshing because usually every character start off strangers and this one isn't. It's all about rekindled relationship and it will just quiet will give you false hope since it makes "second chance" sound good after all the hindrances. This is a must watch

Motivating and moving

I really liked the concept of movie. The screenplay is great. All characters and actor have done really best. Lee Pil Ho, I have watched Pinocchio and now this his acting is really well and so natural. I will be seeing more of his work. Must watch for the young generation. Nice portrayal of husband wife relationship and importance of family. Rightly said you need positive attitude and need to keep going. No matter how late you start. If you really have passion and will to go it will take long way. There is no such thing as perfect we just need to be going on being better.

A glimpse of life in an Emergency Room along with a great romance
leahcubed21 January 2020
Warning: Spoilers
Oh Chang-Min (Choi Jin-hyuk) was a 20 year old medical student when he met and fell in love with Oh Jin-hee (Song Ji-hyo) a dietician. They married thinking their love could withstand his family's disapproval and their withdrawal of financial support. Chang-min gives up his goal of being a doctor and becomes a medical salesman to support the young couple. Both become miserable doing things they dislike and it puts too much stress on their relationship. They divorce after a heated battle. Six years later finds them both having gone through medical school and interning at the same hospital under a "Chief" nicknamed "The Devil". The anger they felt from years ago has not dissipated but it seems some love remains to. Fate has thrown the two together but will their love rekindle and can they, with six years of life experience overcome the obstacles this time around?

I really liked this romance and found the emergency room aspects really interesting. They have a lot of medical cases that mimic things that happen in real life and it really added to the story. It's often true that people get stuck on the a track and don't take care of their love. Being a couple takes a lot of commitment to making things work and weathering the difficult times by always thinking of the other person. I also like the side romances and just all of the character development. The only thing that kept me from a higher rating was there were aspects of the ending that were a little soft but that's just my own personal preference.

Good enough
PennyReviews17 August 2017
Warning: Spoilers
It's a pity that this drama couldn't support it till the end. Actually, the length was just too much and kind of ruined the whole romance. The small doctor cases were interesting, but small, as the drama didn't really focused on them. Rather, they emphasised more on the love story, which was okay, but more interesting at the beginning rather at the end. At first, the two of them were entertaining and funny, with the love triangle growing with a nice pace. However, things got of track towards the end. If the drama was at least two or three episodes shorter, I believe that it would have been better for the story. Finally, the performances were good, though the leading lady was a bit annoying. So, 5 out of 10.

A funny medical drama
madbird-6124328 December 2018
Choi ultimately becomes the male lead. He is well-deserved of the role for his handsome look, temperament and acting skill. His smile is so enchanting.

Female lead is not so attractive in appearance, but acting skill is ok. Her effort to become a doctor is very encouraging to woman viewers. From divorce to re-marriage, the lead couple's relations grows as they work together in Emergency Unit.

The content of the story is rich enough. Romance comes along with medical cases.

The most memorable scene is in an occasion the two are taking care of her sister's baby. They feed him with formula, bathing, playing with the baby. It is to me more romantic than kissing scene.

Definitely one of my favourite mdical drama.

Medical Drama Romance
KdramaInStudio26 March 2023
This series has a roller coaster of emotions: laughing, crying and commiserating with the situation. One of the funniest scenes was episode 4.

Scenes included falling out of love, working with your spouse or ex-spouse, falling in love, loving someone who doesn't feel the same way, and waiting for the one you love.

Based with a dedicated chief who cares about them and their patients the interns navigate their caseloads daily and remain close knit outside of work.

Everyone was casted so well! The main theme, divorce, explored opinions, realities and social dynamics of the repercussions of that choice.

Excellent workplace style, dedication and heartfelt romance. At the end of the day it's how you deal with it all. The soundtrack was really one main song.

It's been 9 years...maybe a series 2?
