I'm all fr independent film-makers but being independent doesn't absolv e you of the responsibility of providing decent actors and a good script. This fails on both counts though I am giving the cinematography a few points.

Stay away from this stinker!

Worst movie I have ever seen. As enjoyable as getting teeth pulled. If you can find anything exciting or even mildly interesting in this $25 budget movie, you must be living a really dull life. Like watching paint dry. Please stop making crap like this anymore and actually put some thought into what you are producing. A terrible attempt at making a film. Extremely low budget.

the journey of a sick mind...

Told by the narrative from a daughter lost without a pinch of hope of heaven, nor hell. the film though pans in on a beautiful coastline somewhere northeast u.s, maybe canada still on the east coast, where the waves scorches the cliffs...PLAYING BACKWARDS... and that leaves me thinking...amateur??? well i know the directors name and ive seen flick made by his cabaret group earlier, but didnt expect such bribery. also the edition i watched blared out, in large letters flashing your face that this film is recorded in digital dolby stereo sound, that left me thinking it has to be my tinnitus spelling me over the sideline again, but it aint. the soundwork is a disgrace, and had tomas dolby lived to see this crambo sound production he would not have worn a clowns red nose...

howcome i give it a hi five, well the story along with a ferrosciously and invigoratingly soothing score about mental health issues, caused by environment, genetics or caused by other groundbreaking reasons fascinates me. the plotting though has not much originality on its own, the cliches follow up on eachother as the story about a psychotic father rolls out on the screen. its interesting themes of psychiatry, religion and ouija boarding, really bangs together an abdominal turmoil on search of intrisic factor to survive to tell , a story that jumping jack flashes back and forward into a spin of deteriorating mindboggling mental mayhem that maybe needs to be reexamined once more to phathom the consequences of ,to try to understand. its not a groundhogian plot but it may feel so due to the complete insane halluscination both visual and auditive that repetitively shows up time and time again. what unfortunately happens in the end sequence is so daft and incomprehensively chosen, i will say no more on that, judge yourself

if you like mental riddles its a go for it, even though the grumpy old man isnt impressed by the acting allover, there a glimpse of hope, and the nrrators voice have talent, but its for the psychonerds made. the makers seems to know that the green green grass of home may spill some milk, well pasturized but not homogenized though the baseline is there. its a small recommend

Where did this film come from?

We need to see more of these independent artists kicking Hollywood in the head. A tense little thriller with a whirlwind story. Acting was good but I've seen better. Standout performance come from the daughter Lilly Spellman and the lead Seth. Both pushed the emotional barrier and hit it on the nail. writing was saved by the directing. Cinematography was good with great locations. I give a big A for effort and a big thank you for independent cinema.

Good but not perfect.

Credit to those involved. I won't nitpick but I've seen bigger productions and more involved stories. This kept my attention. Mental illness is something I've dealt with personally. I enjoyed it for what it's worth, not perfect but a good Sunday afternoon film. No spoilers.
