While the intention here is to make a satire of mass media (Television and publicity in particular), I think the most attractive aspect of Moon Rock is highly imaginative visuals, very reminiscent to works such as Yellow Submarine (Not surprising, considering this short was made by the same director from that movie), though from a more haunting perspective.
