A very different 'lucky star'.

Generally speaking, this TV Series can be considered a spin-off of Lucky Star. I prefer to call it the unlucky star. XD . If you combine the lyrics in OP and ED, you can see that it's almost the exact opposite (more noticeable in the Complete Song) and not only that, but the OP of this TV Series is actually more relevant to Lucky Star. This may be a hint of the show's awkward status, because the show's protagonist is more strapped than in Lucky Star , and it don't have its own OP. In contrast, this means that this TV series is harder to popularize, because the audience of this type of TV series is more willing to watch the protagonist live a good life than suffer. (Although the latter is sometimes called a Moe attribute). In addition, the TV series is supervised by Yamamoto Yutaka, which is also the supervisor of episodes one through four of Lucky Star, and some have speculated about some elusive connection between the two. ("Yamamoto Yutaka, the director of "Lucky Star", be considered has not yet reached that level as a director and has been replaced."). Perhaps from the beginning, the TV series was doomed to its tragic content, as was its fate.
