Bits stuck anywhere
There was a time when British motorbikes, excluding the BSA were the envy of the world and this programme races through the history of the motorbikes from TE Lawrence in the 1920s to how they began to carve a reputation in road racing with Nortons winning the Isle of Man TT races in the 1930s to their role with dispatch riders in World War 2 delivering important messages.
After the war and the rise of youth culture, rockers took to the motorbikes once they saw Marlon Brando in The Wild One ride a Triumph.
In the 1960s greasers rode big powerful motorbikes and mods wore stylish clothes and rode on Italian scooters. Every now and then they would meet up in a seaside resort for a scrap.
Those big bikes, customised by their owners in the 1950s and 1960s are still sought after. If you like bikes you will like this breeze through.
