- Parents continue to receive phone calls from the mastermind behind the plot, Gibson, and the FBI inform the parents of the kidnapped children that they are now all part of an FBI investigation. Beth Ann is certain her sister Meg is lying and can't quite understand why, if Meg did exactly as the kidnappers demanded, Amber hasn't been released. This time a U.S Congressman and his wife and a U.S. Senator - all of whom have access to the CIA building - are tasked to retrieve the video Gibson has been seeking. The theft is to be accompanied by a major distraction but it leads to death. Meg recognizes the photo of a former employee who was liaison to the CIA. At the kidnap house, the students are required to package the money they received from Meg. One of the students is seriously injured by an overzealous guard.—garykmcd
