"Rosie" is a strange idea for a television show and my biggest question is NOT why didn't the networks okay this show but who could have possibly imagined that ANYONE would want to see this in the first place! After all, it's a show featuring a guy in a grotesque dog costume who also talks! The actor given the unenviable task of playing Rosie was Phil Leeds...an excellent character actor who deserved so much better!
The story begins with homeless Rosie meeting some kid and the kid takes him home. However, his parents are not impressed by Rosie and don't want him...and, oddly, Rosie stops talking and they parents don't know that he can talk. And, the kid tries in vain to get them to believe him that Rosie CAN talk.
So is this any good? Good grief, no!! In fact, it might just be the worst and most creepy idea for a television series ever....and it's obvious why it never became a weekly series. Heck, compared to this, "My Mother the Car" seemed like a brilliant idea for a show!
