Hal Norman, a Toronto city worker, finds himself out of work. Deep in debt, he takes a drastic step to pay his bills and winds up in an even worse situation.
As Hal Norman discovers his strange new ability, the staff at the Centre for Mental Research try to apprehend him before he can flee. When he looks for answers, he finds he may have some potential allies - but who are they?
Hal gets more information on what he has become - a "Seemer"- but that there are people after him and it's no longer safe in the outside world...even for the ones sent to find him.
Detective Dalewood learns why she's been made a captive and what her captors are looking for. Meanwhile, Hal insists on returning to the Centre for Mental Research using his newly honed abilities to find out just what was done to him.
Hal seems to have continued his training at the CMR, while Reed flies to Vancouver for a meeting with his contact there, and Croker continues to hold Detective Dalewood captive.
Hal begins to realize all is not as it seems during his "training" at CMR with some help from Aaron. Meanwhile, Reed meets his contact Mitchell in Vancouver to discuss CMR-7 and Detective Dalewood tries to get away from Croker.
A pair of Canadian soldiers in WWII Italy find themselves in a strange and unfamiliar place. Meanwhile, Dalewood meets the CMR escapees, who explain to her their predicament, and Aaron detects a disruption in space and time.
Mitchell continues his efforts to synthesize CMR-7, but when Reed asks for an update, an unexpected visitor drops in. Meanwhile, Aaron and the Seemers try to find out why Dan and Mylie traveled forward in time.
Detective Dalewood returns for Croker, while Hal discusses things with Nat and the time-traveling soldiers try to make sense of their situation. Dalewood, conscience cleared, tries to relax, but receives an unexpected visitor.
Croker uses Dalewood to infiltrate Improbabilia, allowing the Seemers to gain information on the Mayor's plans and the reason why she was trying to steal CMR-7 with Reed.
