The main characters of the film are professional chefs and amateurs who, preparing traditional Ukrainian dough dishes, tell us about their secrets of life, survival, love, and harmony.
Each of the contributors has his own approach to dough and dishes. The author of the recipes for plyatzky from Drohobych is a true culinary engineer. The chef from Odessa primarily relies on her intuition. The Kharkiv craftsman approaches the preparation of varenyky as a process of creating perfection. And a young cook from Transcarpathia makes real masterpieces, painting unique authentic pastries.
But all of them, and a dozen other characters, primarily share their love, hopes, and sincerity, inspiring us all to live and do important things. They seem to remind us that we are all made of the same dough.
The role of the film's culinary experts - chefs Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi and Olga Martynovskaya - is important.
