An early premiere of the anime film adaptation of Tatsuki Fujimoto’s Look Back was held in Tokyo on June 1, 2024. During the event, director Kiyotaka Oshiyama surprised the attendees by revealing the intense dedication and grueling schedule that went into completing the project.
Recounting his last minute efforts, Oshiyama explained that he was still working on the film until the afternoon of the day before the premiere.
He also shared that he had been staying at the studio for about two and a half months, often working late into the night. The completion of the film came so close to the premiere that he was only able to return home and sleep in his own bed for the first time in months the night before the event.
