This series of three episode is entertaining as it recounts to the best of its abilities the story of Exodus. However, as much as I would like to rate this higher, the show does several Netflix things that break the immersion that their other historical series are also guilty of. For instance, the sets on a quick glance look realistic enough, but on closer inspection, it is clear that they saved a lot of money purchasing the basic package. One example is the hieroglyphs in Pharaoh's palace or Egyptian temple which look like they were drawn by Mr. Bean. Another issue that is distracting is the weird camera angles and close-up shots that Netflix's production decided to use in their interviews with the experts and scholars. Or when the experts says one thing, and then the narrative kind of ignores all of that and go in a different direction.
So all in all, it entertains, but could have been better.
