This is cinema
pryimaksasha2 February 2024
This is cinema. It has it all: the drama, comedy, epic and horror. Sometimes, I have just burst out laughing, for example when there was a line about the broken engine, or when the border guard, brilliantly portrayed by Igor Drobot said his already iconic line "ok, drive".

Shkoda's script, while it has some unrealistic and weird moments, was good and made me watch the movie with great interest.

I recommend it to everyone, who likes movies, or cartoons, or horrors. Even to those, who have never seen a movie in their lives should watch it. It's a true masterpiece and I'm shocked it's done by a small team in Ukraine.

Bravo.

10/10!

"Gato" is an exciting animated film with unexpected twists. The author skillfully blends suspense and horror, creating a unique world. Although the animation style varies, it's a minor concern for me.

The characters face challenging trials as they encounter the mysterious Gato. Watching their path of survival is marked by unpredictable twists and a captivating plot. The atmosphere of tension and mystery keeps you glued to the screen. Will they survive? It's intriguing.

While some moments may spark debates, the overall impression of "Gato" is a captivating journey into the world of unexpected events. Giving it a rating of 9 out of 10 takes into account both its flaws and strengths. I recommend this animated film to all animation enthusiasts who appreciate quality impressions and unpredictability.

Great Experience

It was such a well established story though it has a duration of 14 minutes, moreover it focuses on the main problem and maybe an ongoing problem which goes over the course of the story. And I honestly was delighted by it and made some self questions sort of: is that the spirit of our immorality persononificated in some particular non-human being... like a cat. A small cat being established as a small peaceful creature may one day become something unknown to an average mind. Something that may put some questions about surrealism and materialism. Perhaps considering the surrealism you might lose the touch with what you may feel but not able to touch. And materialism -- what you may have on your sight though cannot love regardless of what you're willing to.

Very boring horror - i was sleeping
gavrilamelnik2 February 2024
A very passable and predictable horror. I will say more about this: There are two characters here - a cliché. Everything under the pretext of night is also a cliché. A boy and a girl are again a cliché, and it's simply impossible to worry about them. The only bright spot in horror is cats. Who doesn't love them? I think no matter where you put them, they will look just great. What we have? The characters are wooden. The plot is cliché. The visualization is good, but it doesn't help. I don't understand why they rate this passable piece of gum from 7 to 10. This story seems like just an extended teaser for real horror, and not a separate short film. I think the ratings are still inflated. And this story might not have happened if the main character had not used his phone while driving. In general, one time is enough. 4/10.
