- Female frontal nudity.
- Two of the main female characters have sex.
- Ellie is partially nude in a scene.
- Halfway through the main story, Abby and Owen start kissing passionatly in a boat, they remove their clothes and Abby's bare breasts can be briefly seen. Then they start having sex and moaning can be heard.
- Ellie and Dina kiss.
Violence & Gore

- Severe.
- This game is way more graphic,bloody and intense than the first game.
- Hostile humans and zombies can be killed in extremly grosteque ways.
- Enemies can be killed in nearly every way. Enemies can be beaten,stabbed,bashed,shot,strangled, burned, exploded, and slashed to death. Some of these deaths include dismemberment.
- Abby can stomp on her enemies' head and crush it. While the human deaths sound more gruesome, if you stomp an infected's head, it's more graphic.
Profanity

- Frequent uses of F*ck, infrequent uses of C*nt.
- Uncountable uses of f*ck. There is a f bomb every few lines.
- F*ck,Sh*t and other swear words are heard constantly.
- Some Spanish swear words are used by Manny.(pendejo,cabron etc.)
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking

- Ellie and Dina smoke marijuana.
- One sequence involves Ellie and Dina going to a weed farm. Bongs are displayed. Also Ellie and Dina smoke weed in a cutscene.
- Alcohol can be collected in-game the make health kits and other things. Also empty beer bottles can be used to create distarction and it can be used to harm enemies and as a melee weapon.
Frightening & Intense Scenes

- The infected zombies can be really scary in this game. But there is infrequent jumpscares.
- If this game was a movie it would be rated R for Strong Violence and Gore, Sexual Content,Nudity,Persavive Language, A scene of Drug use and Disturbing and Frightening Images.

Violence & Gore
- Joel's death is very bloody and sad.
- Joel gets his skull bashed by a golf club by Abby and dies in front of Ellie and Tommy. This one of the saddest scenes in the The Last Of Us franchise. Also this is one of the most brutal TLOU deaths of all time.
- Jordan( a minor antagonist of Ellie's story line) is stabbed two times in the neck and blood is seen squirting exxecively. Pretty graphic.
- Nora is cornered by Ellie and after that Nora is questioned by Ellie to learn the whereabouts of Abby. After Nora refuses to tell Ellie Abby's place, she gets tortured by Ellie with a crowbar. Each time Ellie bashes Nora some blood spurts but this is off-screen.
- After learning Abby's whereabouts from Nora,Ellie heads to the aquarium with Abby nowhere to be found she confronts Owen and Mel. After the couple refuses the answer Ellie's question they try to kill Ellie. After that Ellie shoots Owen in his chest and stabs Mel in the throat. All done for self-defense. Than she learns that fron Owen that Mel is pregnant. Very bloody and unexpected.
- Yara(A charecter in Abby's storyline) gets shot multiple times and dies.
- Yara's arm gets smashed by a few Scars with a hammer. We later learn that her arm needs to get amputated. Very brutal and intense.
- Isaac gets shot briefly and dies. Because the death is brief, it's not too graphic.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- Joel's death is very intense and sad for the fans of the franchise.
- The Rat King also known as Patient Zero is extremly scary and disgusting. At one point, as Abby you need to escape and then, kill the Rat King. This is the most tense and suspensefull part of the game.
