- The man considered the prophet of the community has eyes for a young girl and kisses her forcefully at one point. She shoves him off and runs away.
- When Rhyder finds an old friend living in Vegas, he asks him what he does for money. His friend somewhat jokingly demonstrates what he does by gripping Rhyder's leg and then sliding his hand up his thigh. Rhyder shoves him and he laughs at his reaction. It's implied, though never stated for certain, that his friend may have worked as a prostitute for a while.
- We find out the prophet slept with a 13-year-old girl and got her pregnant. The women who discover this are very upset and discuss rape.
Violence & Gore
- A 13-year-old girl goes into labor and loses a lot of blood. We find out later that she died, though the baby survived.
- A father hits his son violently and nearly kills him. The boy is knocked unconscious, but wakes up later.
- We hear later on that the prophet was violent with one of his wives and she died under suspicious circumstances.
- A teenage girl hangs herself after being locked in a room and told she has to marry an older man. Her mother finds her and is distraught, but she luckily survives the suicide attempt and wakes up a minute later.
- The prophet is shot from behind, killed, when he threatens to attack the heroine.
