I love this cringy show!

Everyone on this show has some type of personality disorder. Spoiler alert! Asher is a complete sociopath. The curse does not come from a little girl. Instead the curse is the pathologies of these characters starting to manifest in full form, probably from doing this "reality" show in first place.

Whitney is a total narcissist who shows no humility whatsoever. Her parents are the same way. Dougie is borderline, manipulative and running hot and cold. These are the exact type of people who would do a reality show like this. They are so phony and insincere. The ancillary characters around them appear to see this clearly. They are just caught up in the ride of being " famous on television". This is why I love this cringy show. It's not supposed to be a laugh-out-loud comedy. It's a slow burn of discomfort and absurdity. I think it's pure genius.

Warning: Spoilers
Playing "Young Turks" during the bowling sequence is the kind of thing Nathan mocked on Nathan For You, and is the kind of goofiness that personifies this show. You never know what the tone will be segment to segment and that is why some love it.

It does make for a kind of awkward viewing experience, and that was never better encapsulated than the seen with Asher professing his love for Whitney on the bed after hearing her talk openly about the relationship struggles.

Paramount+ finally found its weird show it has been searching for, but I don't even know if I think this is good or not. Maybe it is too weird.

I thought this show would get better towards the end...

Warning: Spoilers
It's not getting better, just repeating and doubling down on the cringe. The scene on the bed where Asher watches Whitney trash him and their relationship was beyond cringe, it was stomach-churning, especially since Whitney is a self-obsessed, self-deluded, virtue-signalling hypocrite who is lucky any guy can stomach her for more than ten minutes.

Then Nathan shows his full cuck persona by coming back to the room and drooling all over her feet. Blech. Add to that what a scum Dougie is for deliberately trying to sabotage their marriage and then doing a 180 at the behest of the network. He doesn't even have the spine to be a good homewrecker.

And the Somali guy, who shows no appreciation for being given the house, thus busting Asher and Whitney's white-savior balloon. Which they deserve for having the balloon to begin with.

This is just a compendium of stomach-turning awful people. In the finale perhaps a nuclear bomb will level the entire city of Espanola. That seems appropriate somehow.
