Even when WWE tries to do the right thing they can't. They gave us a long women's tag match, but it just did not work and further established that they will never truly let anyone outshine Charlotte, no matter what the result of any particular match or PLE might be.
Edge and Sheamus had an okay match. The crowd certainly helped, but if this is Edge's final bout in WWE, or period, it was probably the best they could do. You can't revisit the Randy Orton or AJ Styles well, so this is someone he had a personal connection with.
It might be time to move on because WWE has to start rebuilding new stars, but we can certainly appreciate his legacy.
