2 hours and 15 mins movie
v-869345 November 2023
Casting is very nice everyone deliver their role well and when the movie announce its release with Becky her fans go crazy but... This movie doesn't make sense at all considering that Namo looks only few age younger than her parents. 15 years old Namo doesn't fit the role for Becky if it's possible then it's either to choose much older main character or younger child that looks 15 years old.

Secondly, what's with the 2 hours and 15 mins long movie. The movie go around the bush and some scene can cut short or they can remove some flashback scene so the movie can deliver well.

The movie doesn't have a proper ending making it hard to know what's happening next. There's no resolution and it's not enough for international viewers to understand what's happening next. Do they file a divorce are they together again?

Somehow I feel that this movie used Becky to attract more viewers/international viewers. But my intentions are pure I just don't understand some aspects of the director. Overall, the movie has an original content though it's just that it's very long and doesn't make sense on characters age but it's enjoyable to watch and if you have a lot of time then try this.

High expectations dashed: Long Live Love is a major disappointment
crimsonsphinx29 September 2023
I had high expectations for Long Live Love, given its superb veteran cast. But the movie was extremely underwhelming.

The film is full of melodrama, with characters overreacting to situations and making overly dramatic speeches. The characters are underdeveloped, with little depth or complexity. And the dialogue is extremely corny and exaggerated. The plot is also really predictable and clichéd. You can see everything coming from a mile away.

The main character, Namo, is extremely unlikable. She's selfish, judgmental, and makes a lot of bad decisions. I think my annoyance with this character was magnified by the fact that she's played by a novice actress alongside seasoned actors. The mismatch in acting skills stuck out like a sore thumb. It would have been better if they casted a more capable actress or replaced the veteran actors with actors who are more on her level of acting. Subpar acting won't stick out as much if everyone else is also subpar.

Was really looking forward to this but unfortunately, I ended up extremely disappointed.

fluid acting

The performance of the mother and the father isn't suprising because they are two of the biggest names in thailand. Suprising package was the daughter, she carried well that boyish strong attitude but soft inside. The love she has for the parents especially the dad was superbly displayed. Storyline is not new, but delivered by these amazing actors made the movie worth watching. I am not a thai national, thanks to the subs but I did enjoy the movie. I watched because of the good reviews, and yeah, the movie didn't disappoint me. The director has done a very good job for this masterpiece. Im hoping for worldwide showing of this movie, I want to watch again.

At first I was just curious at what this movie is about , the poster really attract a person if they will watch it . Specially for me who is not a fan of the actors , but after watching it , it makes me wanna follow them all om social media .

Why ? The story is well made , props to the director , the cinematography superb , and the cast wow you pick them right .

For sati , I may hate him but the same time I have been laughing so much , to Meta , thats how my mom is to me really and thats why I relate to Namo , her mom is really a great one too.

And for Namo , you really hook me , I can feel the emotion , you are such a great one . I Hope to see you more.

A MUST WATCH MOVIE
anneoftigirls11 July 2023
The performances in the film are exceptional, with the cast delivering nuanced and emotionally resonant portrayals. The narrative unfolds gradually and builds towards a climactic finale. The chemistry between the actors is palpable as if they have been doing and acting with each other for a long time: Namo, Meta, Sati, and Peach with superb acting. Direk Mook is a master storyteller and directed the film with finesse and sensitivity. She balanced the heavy drama with many moments of humor and tenderness, giving us - the viewers an emotional rollercoaster ride. I watched the movie three times, and if given another chance in my country, I would still watch it.

Well directed and well acted!
ylmerj10 July 2023
Long Live Love is strongly-acted throughout. I personally love the character of the daughter NAMO. She is simply beautiful work highlighted by Becky's distinct acting. She succeeded on the strength of her acting alone. As someone new in the film industry, she exceeded expectations. It's well done, authentic and natural. While the older actors' calibre in drama and comedy are superstar par excellence. The acting ensemble is top shelf! I also love how it deviates from the usual stories with happy ending. It's what's happening in real life and I'm sure everyone can relate to the story and to each characters.

Loving Namo 💗
titadlovessamly14 July 2023
To be honest, I have my reservations prior watching this movie because I am not really into an international film. But I glad I took the risk, all for the love and support for dear Becky. This is the best foreign film I have ever watched.

Long Live Love is a perfect balance of comedy, love and drama that will hit you down to your core. Every emotion, every scene, and every words uttered were too good and powerful. This movie left me with lots of realization and ofcourse, appreciation. Family is love. Self love is the greatest love.

Becky, what a revelation! You have grown into a very good actress. I felt your every expression of feelings and words. You are perfect for Namo! I love you and I am so proud of you, BB!

10/10 for Long Live Love! 💗

A family movie must watch
jamiealexanderruben10 July 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This is to remind everyone to look for love in all possible forms that could exist. Love your husband with all the faults and headaches he brings. Too bad for Meta, she lost her self and as a woman I can really feel that. Losing yourself in the process of loving your daughter and hour husband is common for our moms out there so please hug your moms a little bit tighter today. You don't know what they lost in order to keep your home life happy. To namo, you are incredible feisty girl. A lot of us are namo in our home lives- hurt, with baggage, and unhealed childhood trauma. This movie made me cry.

Namo
xalihe12 July 2023
All the actors did a great job, they look like a real family and Becky really proved her abilities as an actress in this movie When I watched the movie, I forgot about all the other characters that Becky did previously. I was amazed because there is a big difference between Namo and Becky, and also between Namo and the other characters.

Namo is now one of my favorite characters I hope to see becky in new roles and different characters, she is a girl with multiple talents, and I am sure her future is bright.

I hope the movie will be available on Netflix so that international fans can watch Namo and her family.

The film also sheds light on the collateral damage of Sati's lifestyle through the eyes of Namo, his 15-year-old daughter. Namo is a character wise beyond her years, bearing the weight of a lifetime of unfulfilled promises. Her journey becomes a poignant exploration of the impact a parent's choices can have on a child, and her resilience becomes a beacon of hope in the face of adversity.

The narrative takes an unexpected turn when Sati, faced with the impending collapse of his family, begins a soul-searching journey of redemption. The transformation of his character is portrayed with authenticity and depth, allowing the audience to empathize with his struggles and cheer for his path to self-discovery.

"Long Live Love" is not just a story about the breakdown of a family; it's a powerful exploration of the human capacity for change and the enduring strength of love. The film skillfully balances moments of heart-wrenching drama with touches of humor, making it a well-rounded and emotionally resonant cinematic experience.

Director deserves commendation for crafting a visually stunning film that captures the emotional nuances of each character. The cinematography beautifully complements the emotional depth of the story, creating a visually engaging narrative that keeps the audience captivated from start to finish.

In conclusion, "Long Live Love" is a thought-provoking and heartwarming film that navigates the complexities of relationships with grace and sincerity. Anchored by stellar performances, a compelling storyline, and expert direction, it is a must-watch for anyone who appreciates a moving exploration of love, redemption, and the enduring strength of the human spirit.

Its a family story of how to see your past action from a new perspective
kimbarney27 October 2023
At first I thought this movie will be full of sobs story where the man made mistake, repented and at the end everything will be okay and full rainbow again.

But none of this actually happened in the story!

All characters has great contribution and importance to the story, even the cat! LOL I love how the daughter Namo loves her mom, she knows her mother's struggle and she wants to make her happy in her own way.

I love the acting and chemistry between the Meta, Sati and Namo.

I can feel the awkwardness of a family that is in trouble, a disfunctional family yet there's still love there for each other.

I recommend to watch it with family with age appropriate guidandance 😄

I got the opportunity to see this and I am pleasantly surprised. All of the stars I am unfamiliar with but they have great chemistry and it was tale of love, comedy and drama. The daughter in particular gave a solid performance, new up and coming actress who i hope to see her in other productions. I loved the cinematography of this movie, there was something so real and intimate about it. It gets you to think about what you would do in a similar situation and takes on some really strong themes of regret, forgiveness and the future. All in all I recommend. It's a movie that you'll want to watch again again, a movie that leaves you thinking and deciphering. Loved it.

Diverse selection of casts
54Hex18 July 2023
From having rather experienced leads, such as Sunny (Sati) and Araya (Meta), to having newer actress such as Becky (Namo) in this film.

This not only added depth to the performances but also provided a platform for the newer actors to learn and grow. The chemistry between the seasoned and fresh talent created a dynamic on-screen presence that captivated audiences.

Becky's performance in GAP truly showcases her versatility as an actress. She effortlessly brings depth and authenticity to the complex character of Namo, making her relatable to audiences of all ages. As Becky brings depth and authenticity to the character, making her (Namo) struggles and growth all the more impactful. It's refreshing to see Becky explore new facets of her talent and continue to captivate viewers with her on-screen presence. As well as Sunny and Araya.

The film's storyline is relatable and offers a heartfelt exploration of the complexities of family dynamics.

The best thai movie 2023
q-3163627 October 2023
The storyline is very unique, the actors potray their characters really well. What caught my attention is Namo, a new face and is this hard headed girl, stubborn but has a soft side. It has a mixed of family, comedy and you will find the charaters interesting.

The love story of the mom and dad is not what you expect in a family, they have secrets that they want to protect but in the end they chose what is best for them.

This movie is the best so far this year, the director, cast and staff really put an effort in making this.

Hope they can make another masterpiece like this. They deserve recognition.

A must watch movie
fevecen20 November 2023
Warning: Spoilers
"Long Live Love" delves into the complexities of relationships and the consequences of a hedonistic lifestyle through the lens of its protagonist, Sati. The film revolves around the central theme of love's endurance amidst chaos, showcasing the repercussions of one man's party-centric existence on his family.

Sati, the quintessential party-animal, stands at the epicenter of this narrative, and the film unflinchingly portrays the aftermath of his choices. The broken family dynamic is vividly depicted through the character of Meta, Sati's wife, who finds herself at the crossroads of choosing between salvaging what's left of her marriage or walking away to rebuild her life.

Meta's preparation to leave Sati underscores the gravity of the situation, emphasizing the toll that Sati's reckless behavior has taken on their relationship. The impending separation becomes a symbol of the erosion of trust and the emotional scars that linger from years of broken promises. The audience is taken on an emotional rollercoaster as they witness the unraveling of a marriage that was once presumably built on love.

The film also introduces Namo, Sati and Meta's 15-year-old daughter, who serves as a poignant representation of the collateral damage inflicted by her father's lifestyle. Namo's weariness and jaded outlook on life at such a young age speak volumes about the impact of broken promises and the absence of a stable family environment. Her character adds a layer of complexity to the narrative, as viewers are confronted with the intergenerational consequences of Sati's choices.

"Long Live Love" is not merely a tale of despair; it explores the resilience of the human spirit and the potential for redemption. As the characters grapple with their respective challenges, the film prompts viewers to reflect on the nature of love, commitment, and the choices that shape our destinies.

The cinematography and soundtrack contribute to the film's emotional resonance, enhancing the audience's connection to the characters and the unfolding drama. The pacing of the narrative allows for a gradual exploration of the characters' motivations and the evolution of their relationships.

movie of the year
docoh-9380420 November 2023
Long Live Love is not merely a tale of familial discord but also a meditation on the possibilities of redemption and healing. As Meta contemplates leaving, the film introduces a glimmer of hope, exploring whether Sati can confront his demons and rebuild the fractured bonds of his family. This exploration of redemption adds a layer of complexity to the narrative, preventing it from succumbing to a predictable storyline.

The film's cinematography and soundtrack contribute to the overall immersive experience, effectively complementing the emotional highs and lows of the characters. The director's choice of pacing allows the audience to fully absorb the emotional weight of the story, creating moments of tension, reflection, and ultimately resolution.

In conclusion, Long Live Love is a compelling exploration of the complexities of human relationships, anchored by strong performances and a thought-provoking narrative. The film's ability to navigate the nuances of love, betrayal, and redemption makes it a poignant and memorable cinematic experience.

Chemistry is superb!
gonzagaevenlynn14 August 2023
The film is well presented. The music and shots used by the director add to the beauty of the film. The comedic timing is so good that it made me laugh even though the scene was heavy. All the actors are good in their roles. Not surprised with Sati and Meta because they are very great actors. The revelation to me is the daughter Namo played by Becky Armstrong, she is new to the industry but she can keep up with the two who played as her mother and father. They have chemistry that you will thought that they are really family. After watching the movie, i just want you to ask yourself, will you do what Meta do?

When the laughs... the Ahhh's and Ohhhh's turn to a silent cry
Rndmwtchr77 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Long Live Love

When the laughs... the Ahhh's and Ohhhh's turn to a silent cry and some sense of somehow... Belongingness.

Don't we all Loved and Lost despite hoping that it would last?

The movie hit some sensitive spot in my being.

TBH if I knew ahead of time I would've prepare myself.

So, Trigger Warning to those who experienced/witnessed their parents drifting apart etc. ( I don't wanna elaborate too much but prepare a lot of tissue and remember to breathe, so if you're the type of person that can be easily affected by what they're watching.. please have a friend with you.) The movie will take you to a journey!

I love how the story unfold and how in a short screen-time, the director was able to show us, or let us experience rather! To be the one's wearing their shoes. Impeccable acting from all characters. Sunny and Araya, no doubt are on of the best Thai Actors out there, but let me introduce Becky Armstrong. This kid has a chill way of acting that it's so natural that you'd just find yourself feeling her disgust, her pain, her sadness! I just found myself laughing and crying on her scenes.

I've been a fan on how Thai movies can show nostalgia in this captivating melancholic, cinematic way! And Long Live Love took me to this amazing ride. (I'll keep myself from saying too much on this, i would love for you to experience that on your own) So, please go and check out this movie if it's available in your area!

Long Live Love to me is a movie that you'd want to always go back to from time to time.

Much more a christmas movie! Or one of those movie we watch for comfort.

I think it's a really good family movie, or even if your at a stage where you're about to start one.

A poignant story about love, family and marriage
rukawa0714 August 2023
Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed this movie. A poignant story about love, family and marriage. The cast also have amazing chemistry and delivered a great performance. At the end of the movie, it also made me think what I will do if I'm in Meta's position. I'm not sure I will be able to forgive. It might take a lot of time and a lot of self love. And personally, I don't think I will forgive someone who only showed regret and remorse towards what they did after having amnesia lol. But the film did a great job making Sati experience everything from another POV to see how mess up he was and how badly he treated his family. Also, I want to add that I love Namo's character so much. I wish we've seen more of her and her friends.
