Sex & Nudity
-
- In one episode there's an explicit story that Arin shares about the D Club. D stands for Di**s and he continues the story from there
- The grumps will often talk about sexual situations, both real and fictional
- There is almost no topic they will not cover, so the references and themes can range from mild to very, very strong
- This is even more prominent in Danny era grumps
- No nudity or sex is actually ever shown, with the exception of a few episodes, such as the Bayonetta series
Violence & Gore
-
- The grumps mainly play games with very little violence or gore, however they occasionally will do so - e.g. Demon's Soul's, Dead Space 3, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare
- They will occasionally talk about or discuss violent topics or events
- The impact of any violence shown in-game is very much diminished through the grumps banter whilst playing it
Profanity
-
- Non-Stop swearing in every episode
- In late 2019, the Game Grumps have began to swear a lot less in their videos (mainly due to YouTube's new monetization guidelines)
- An average episode is going to have the words ""Fuck", "Shit", "Bitch", "Bastard" and "Asshole" at least a few times every few seconds.
- "Cunt" is also used, although not as much as the other words.
- Racial and homosexual slurs are occasionally used, but are bleeped out - most of the time. They were more common and were fully uncensored during Jon's days on the channel. However, they are used as profanities for comedic effect, not as discrimination.
- Many, many other profanities are used, all very frequently
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- Danny has many weed related stories that he will sometimes share on grumps
- References to other drugs
- Grumps generally have a strong anti-drug message *generally*
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- They occasionally play horror games on the channel (such as P.T., Silent Hill Shattered Memories, and Doki Doki Literature Club)
