And now Mom has returned home and we are nearing Christmas. The girls' have cut an album and are hitting the big time. Things are looking up. Back at the horse stables, will they be able to breed some stock and score big bucks? The girls now have a Christmas gig, a huge opportunity for recognition and success...fast forward...I'm seeing the mysterious long haired guy (he was in the last movie too, but I didn't mention him) who wears a black cowboy hat, he's on the farm with dad, they are looking at some horses, I have no idea what's happening there, but it looks encouraging...fast forward...businessman/winery husband is on the phone with bandmate sister/wife, she is discouraged, he will pray for the family, she's lonely being away from him, something is suspicious with him as they hang up the phone...fast forward...he got in a bar fight, bar owner called father in law (owner of stables) who brings him home bruised and injured. Wife comes home, they miss an important meeting for the band...other sister getting closer to ranch hand with long hair and hat...goes back to the bar, has heated conversation with bar owner...back to other sister and husband, they have an argument, something important is happening (I'm watching this in fast forward)...other sister and bar owner kiss...fast forward...sisters headed back to Nashville in car to record music at studio...fast forward...oh there's mom again, she's not in this film much either...back to Nashville, band guy who has crush on sister has chat her, doesn't look hopeful for him...sisters talking...business/winery husband has a heart to heart or is getting lecture from dad/stables owner...sisters singing at gig, she hugs band guy, no kiss, maybe he's perma friend zone...now dad and long hair talk, they go to church, bar owner and rest of family end up in church, sisters end up at church, everybody ends up at the church...they singing hymns, there is much happening, everything is coming to an end, everyone is happy, hugging, bar owner daughter kiss, mom and dad kiss, the end. I'm so glad I fast forwarded this.

Left me wanting
Jackbv12330 November 2023
This is a sequel to Country Hearts and I think you really need to have watched that first. I had a hard time figuring out what was going on and as a result I had a harder time getting invested in any of the stories. This feels a little more like a soap opera than a Christmas movie. In fact it felt like there were some slightly loose threads left open at the end. To put it simply, there are a lot of story threads in this movie.

There are two main sources of tension in this movie. I think that the Christmas Eve show is supposed to be the main one, but it didn't pull me in. The other is Justin's problem. It is a little darker. For most of the movie it left me not caring much for Justin. This might not have been the case if I had gotten invested in this story in the original movie. Same with Tori's romantic dilemma.

There are several songs by the girls. At least one is original.

This is a faith based story, but it isn't overemphasized.
