Learn more- Supergroup is a musical group whose members are successful as solo artists or as members of other successful groups. Cory Woodward Adaline Nat Jay Adrian Glynn. Directed by Michael Love and shot in Vancouver at the Media Club 2009 LIVE!!
Vancouver-based singer and songwriter Cory Woodward lays bare his battles with depression and addiction during his Truth Tour. "The Truth is a collection of songs that are a detailed expression of my world during a time of major transition," said Woodward, in a press release. "They are songs written from personal experience; they're cries for help, a longing for change of oneself and the world, all spawned from years of battling depression and addiction on numerous fronts." In my heart my main driving passion behind creating and sharing music with the world is to offer a path to self awareness and love!
Canadian alt-pop artist Adaline fuses powerfully evocative music with an emotionally unbound lyrical honesty. This authenticity appeals to her growing fan base and is why she is considered "one of the best young songwriters in the country" (CBC Q) and "a rising Canadian talent that takes listeners to angelic heights" (Billboard Magazine). She has released four critically acclaimed studio albums garnering millions of streams, dozens of editorial playlist adds, and a nomination for "Pop Album of the Year" at the Western Canadian Music Awards. A prolific songwriter, Adaline has had songs licensed in more than 85 film and television scenes including multiple songs on Grey's Anatomy, 90210, Tiny Pretty Things, MacGyver and more. She collaborated on songs for The Canyons score starring Lindsay Lohan with Brendan Canning of Broken Social Scene and was selected for a composer residency at the prestigious Norman Jewison's Canadian Film Centre.
Nat Jay's songs are personal to her, but reliable to many; her voice soft and measured, but powerful and dynamic. Raised in a classical household, Nat Jay took her first steps in her parents' music school. She went on to study flute at the University of British Columbia, until chronic wrist pain refocused her love of music towards singing. Soon after earning her degree, she began songwriting and connected with producer Winston Hauschild, who became her collaborator of many years. The team worked together on two EPs, several singles, and the full-length album, All I Think When I Wake Up, which received a nomination for Pop Album of the Year at the Western Canadian Music Awards and was named in the Top 10 Pop Albums of the Year on PopDose.
In a music world littered with singer-songwriters, Adrian Glynn stands apart. The Vancouver-based troubadour takes any opportunity to defy convention: he has turned murder ballads into spell-binding, microphone-free serenades, and abandoned the standard rock band setup in favor of suitcase kick drums and claw hammer piano strings.
This anything-goes approach to his craft has been Glynn's trademark since his earliest musical endeavor's. Originally a trained character actor, his flare for live performance quickly won over audiences, and he teamed up with all-star producer Dave Glen (54-40, Matthew Good Band) and mixer Warne Livesey (Matthew Good Band, Xavier Rudd) to record his 2007 self-titled EP.
