Bill Belichick: [about Jack Lambert] He had a little trouble playing at Kent State. You know, he played behind Bob Bender. And they played him at defensive end, they played him at outside linebacker. Bender was the inside linebacker. Prior to the, I think the '73 season, when the Rolling Stones came to play in Cleveland Municipal Stadium, the Kent State football team handled the security for the stadium. At the end of the concert, things got a little, you know, hectic there around the stage and fans kind of started moving in. And Bender grabbed Mick Jagger, threw him over his shoulder and took him off the stage and got him to the limo. Jagger was like, "Hey, you know, I need a security guy like you. What are you doing?" And so, he didn't go back to school that year and Lambert became the middle linebacker. Bob Bender went on to be a security man for the Rolling Stones and other groups.
