For starters, I'm glad these past two episodes finally started to pick up the pace because it's been a bit rough to start off. It's pretty interesting that this entire season (current timeline only) takes place in the span of a week, given how much goes on. That said, Belly's statement about "growing up" isn't believable, seeing as she was just reminiscing over pictures of Conrad on her phone at the start of the season, right before coming to Cousins Beach this summer.
I've been able to chalk up Belly's questionable romantic choices in the past to youthful naivety and wistfulness and a simple desire as a young girl to love and be loved. However, I can't justify now that in the very same episode she declares she doesn't want to hurt Conrad, she kisses Jeremiah, at Conrad's own college, in his sweatshirt. Ouch.... Just when the group dynamic starts to seem back to normal, everyone is cheery and hopeful and relieved to have the house back, more drama will seemingly unfold.
I'm glad many things were communicated this episode, between Laurel and Belly (that was a very emotional watch), Conrad and Jeremiah, Belly and the brothers, etc... It just pains me to see the cycle of the love triangle repeat itself, especially when it's still glaringly obvious that the true love lies between Conrad and Belly. I could never hate Belly despite her increasingly irritating decisions; at the end of the day she deserves love and happiness, whatever that may cost. Can't wait for season 3, as I will be collecting my endgame (from the books, and yes it will happen in the series).
