BACKING DANCERS IGNORED
grahame-963594 December 2023
All the backing dancers for the show are fabulous but the production company doesn't even have the decency to name them.

They work the hardest in every show to try to show the contestants in their best light.

They perform several routines several times a night with each contestant, and always have to be perfect, which they are.

Additional crew and Location management who are also needed, but in a very less obvious position, and I suggest less important, are listed.

The credits for almost any film nowadays list everyone down to the sweeper up. Why is this show so disrespectful?

The show couldn't be produced without them and the Producers should be ashamed of their total lack of respect.

Why all the screaming and overly animated behaviours?
Birminghamukengland23 October 2023
I am a massive fan of musical theatre and was looking forward to this, however why on earth did the Mama-mia production crew let ITV get their hands on this.

I thought it would be like the old Graham Norton one where Jessie Buckley and Samantha what's her name were discovered.

These kids definitely have talent but all the X Factor type behaviours are so irritating. I was waiting for the photos of some of their dead nans to be wheeled out.

Zoe Ball is also beyond annoying and the constant shots of the judges expressions is yet another reason not to watch this. How can we enjoy the contestants' performances when the camera work and direction is so bad.

I despair of this country now, I really do.

According to TV producers on every channel the average viewer has the brain capacity of an amoeba, I'm insulted that they think I would be entertained by this rubbish.

One episode was enough for me.

Meh

Honestly the show did not live up to my expectations. The winners are clear from the start and to be quite frank they've not really given the audience enough time to get to know the contestants anyways.

I will say that the judges are the saving grace of the show but I have a suspicion that they're there for show because the director of the musical keeps popping up and you can tell from the way she talks that the decision is ultimately hers rather than the judges as advertised.

Overall a bit of a pointless show which missed the mark on lots of aspects. Maybe if they do it again it would be nice to have fewer contestants, more intimate introductions and more creative challenges to make the decision of who gets cast.
