Famous singer Johan Operelli is coming to perform in town. The mayor expects the ministerial delegate and wants the town square cleaned to perfection. Van Leemhuyzen sees that as the perfect occasion to test and present his invention, a giant vacuum cleaner. It seems to work well, the mayor even suggests selling one to every municipality in the country. Alas impatient Samson gets sucked in and there's no outlet. Elaborate pretenses generate a further misunderstanding, that the vacuum could sing.
