So...a politician decides to take two illegals into her home and ends up getting shot. The house guest is accused of the murder and asks for McCalls help.
SHOCKER...the super evil conservative opponent blackmailed someone into killing her. I figured out it was him after his character was introduced 5 minutes into the show.
This would've been a great opportunity to make the bad guy someone who was unexpected, and prove to your audience that you aren't beholden to the stereotypical "all liberals are good and all conservatives are bad" tired storyline. This is a good show where plots are usually a lot more creative.
