Fun Family Film

Went to watch the movie with minimal expectations and must say that the movie surprised me positively.

Story idea about 3 boys finally going to Goa after years of failed planning in itself is good enough. The execution of the idea is also at par. Dialogues, situations created definitely evoke laughter every now and then. Even in serious situations, we the audience, enjoy. The movie definitely has certain World cinema Neo Noir touch.

The characters speak in a very natural and daily routine kind of dialogues which sound funny and logical as well.

3 of the actors have done fantastic job starting from Pratik Gandhi who steals the show with his pre and post drugs antiques. Divyendu acts very well and has funny one liners too that generates laughter. Avinash Tiwary plays his part of a no non sense guy quite well. Chhaya Kadam and Upendra limaye are the icing on the cake. Norah Fatehi plays her part of an eye candy pretty well. Rest of the supporting actors especially the one playing the can driver have played their part superbly.

Direction is very good, however placement of songs is very bad at almost every place. Screenplay could have been more crisp, to give much better pace to the movie.

No unnecessary adult scenes or double meaning jokes have been added, which makes the effort of writing and direction by Kunal Keu very commendable.

Must watch with your friends and family at theatre near you.

Simple, comedic, enjoyable.....

Kunal Khemu directorial debut is outstanding. This film made my day specially the cast involve in it is so damn good. Directing the 1st film is not an easy job and then to if it's a comedy genre but Kunal Khemu deserves all applause for a fun and super direction done by him.

Now talking about the storyline simple friend group goa trip story with best situational comedy perform by the actors specially Pratik, Divyendu & Avinash just nailed their performance throughout the film.

Chemistry between these 3 is fun to watch and kinda hooked you up in the film. Yes there is flaws in the script because screenplay could've been little tighter and little bit of pacing issues but comedy will entertain you a lot specially in the 1st half is too good.

Cinematography is good specially Goa location is fun to watch. Supporting cast are average because isn't much to do in the film except for the 3 leads.

Dialogues in the comedy scenes is good and supports the scenes well yet songs are unnecessary in the film.

Overall A good time pass film with enjoyable comedy and good performance by the lead cast....

The true comedy is back to screen

First of all, it feels like some one told Kunal Khemmu sir that do whatever the hell u want to , people should laugh, and he played his magic , the dialogues, the cinematography, the editing of the movie is at its peak, how the story goes ahead , the second half made us hold our breaths as the scenes went past , and made us brace ourselves to our seats for the climax, one thing I would like to mention is first part could have been more exciting and intriguing like the second interval but post the break , it's just a rollercoaster, the scenes the lines the action , he never missed to add the comic to every scene , like in one scene if something is happening to the subjects the background is something which our eyes will go and we will like what is happening, this is a must view for the people who missed comedy (I am sure everyone did and we got our old comedy back ) no cuss words nothing pure comedy , just wow.

Brilliant comedy

This movie deserves all the love it can get. Fantastic characters, great story and direction and brilliant acting. Divyenndu steals the show with his unbelievable timing and conviction, and the rest of the cast fits around him beautifully. Kunal Kemmu, take a bow!

Quite obviously inspired by The Hangover, the story is really well put together to create many many moments of legit situational comedy, which we haven't seen in some time. Go watch with the same friends you watched Dil Chahta Hai with.

From the way they ended it, it felt like they will be tempted to do a sequel, and to that I say bring it on!

People born in the late 1990s, particularly those who grew up watching comedies from the 2000s, may experience nostalgia for their younger years.

Credit goes to none other than Mr. Kemmu, the writer-director, for reinvigorating "comedy of errors" genre, which had been lacking its trademark in recent years.

"Madgaon Express" might not have reached its peak but it offered enough quirk and entertainment for its viewers.

The characters were eccentric, the punchlines hit the mark, and most importantly, the actors appeared to be enjoying themselves, especially, Pratik Gandhi in his 'Rowdy' persona, so ridiculous yet so much fun.

Best Direction

I mean it when I say this. Its"A Rib-Tickling Ride!"Madgaon Express" is a rib-tickling ride filled with laughter and entertainment. Kunal Khemu's directorial debut is a breath of fresh air in the comedy genre, offering a delightful mix of humor and heartwarming moments. This film is a perfect blend of quirky characters, witty dialogues, and hilarious situations that will leave you in splits. Perfection of dark humor after a long gap

After long time watched a perfect dark comedy movie last i saw an situational comedy i think it was blackmail or kaalakaandi.

And now i have watched madgaon express a perfect entertainer

Strong points: Direction-kunal kemmu who is known for his iconic comedy movies like 99 and go goa gone And now as direction he has done an very good job.he also gave an homage to some great movies like zindagi na mile gi dobara dil chahta hai lakshay and even godfather.writing xas good in terms of great humor

Acting; Avinash tiwari did a decent job diveyendu was best his dialouge deliver was amazing pratik gandhi after having cocaine and upendra limaye and chaya kadam was main highlights of the film Cameo's were also good

Weak points: there is not an big loop hole in film the placements of songs and using nora fathei as ice candy

Its a good delighted watch especially with friends.

Underwhelming

The best way to enjoy this movie is to go in without having watched the trailer (which contains a lot of spoilers and showcased most of it's best moments), or any promotional content and watch it with absolutely zero expectations. The rave reviews raise the bar too high and subconsciously expects this to be on par with a Dil Chahta Hai, Go Goa Gone and Hera Pheri, which this certainly isn't.

The actors are flawless however the screenplay and dialogues was a big let down.

Madgaon Express would probably be recieved better once it releases on the OTT platform. In my opinion, it doesn't merit a definitive theatrical experience for your money's worth.

After a long time, Bollywood was able to create a fun-loving ride which will tickle every inch of your funny bone!!!

Madgaon Express is the story of 3 friends who have always desired to Goa since their childhood but some issues or other comes the way for which they have to drop their plan. As they get busy with their professional life, they decide to go for reunion at Goa. This time they do reach the destination but land up in deep trouble which makes their journey adventurous.

Kunal Kemmu takes the director's chair for the first time and does a fabulous job in making a genuine buddy-comedy film that has innumerable laugh-out scenes - railway station scene when the 3 friends are about to on board the train, Pratik Gandhi's funny stammer after he accidentally consumes drugs, the scene where Pratik and Divyendu dresses up as Kombdi lady gang members. You name it and the film has all the entertainment package to keep you happy.

On the flip side, 2nd hald could have been further trimmed with unnecessary songs and scenes. However, the film picks up the pace and gives a solid slapstick comic climax. Kunal Kemmu brilliantly extracts performance from each actor who played their part to the best. Divyendu and Pratik Gandhi excels in their dialogues while Avinash Tiwari gives a good support. The Marathi actor who played the role of main villain and his counterpart, leader of Kombdi gang were simply superb.

Overall, I had a great time laughing out with hilarious scenes in Madgaon Express. Go and enjoy the bromance with your friends :)

"An Ensemble of Laughter""Madgaon Express" brings together an ensemble cast that shines in every frame. From Divyenndu's impeccable comic timing to Nora Fatehi's charming presence, each actor adds a unique flavor to the film. Madgaon express has story of Three childhood friends fulfill their dream of going Goa together. I am not a professional but i find the movie extremely happening and felt the need to share this with every movie lover who wants to watch this.

Highly recommended specially go with the group and simply enjoy pure kind of comedy after a long time How the exchanged travel bag changed the trip to completely off track show a little change can make a big impact in anyone life. It's a laughter-packed joyride that deserves a spot on your watchlist.

Before going for this movie, I was 100% sure, the reviews out there are paid. Probably cause as audiences we've been subjected to a lot of cringe comedies over the years! I was humbled real quick, cause this movie is actually worth the praise.

Kunal khemu's directorial debut is witty and outrageous. It starts off slow but quickly picks up pace. It is a run-of-the-mill story about a trio making their ultimate trip to goa, and getting entangled with the local drug overlords. Nothing new about the story , but it is how organically the movie integrates comedy which stands out. The jokes written are situational and not over the top comedy tropes which most cringe comedy movies use. The camaraderie and dialogue delivery between the trio is top notch! The supporting cast was amazingly integrated as well. I had times where I was laughing out loud at the cleverly written dialogues. There were some gags which were slapstick but majority of the movie was witty comedy. This movie is on the lines of comedies like go goa gone, Delhi belly; a very easy family entertainer.

For a first time director I think Kunal has executed his vision to perfection. Definitely worth a watch, if you can catch it in the theatres. Will probably rewatch it on ott as well, some of the one liners are comic gold!

One time view maybe, But on TV is fine too

Good Movie. One time enjoyable movie. But dont necessarily have to be in the cinema. There are 2 or 3 moments where you burst out laughing if you are easy. If not, you can watch the entire movie in one go and may still not laugh out loud fully and yet enjoy it. There are moments where you can see there hasn't been rehearsals done and first take is taken in to the final cut as some scenes lack the depth or study it may require. Like the PGandhi bhai in intoxicated state. Overall seems half baked. May be pun intended.

All in all its an enjoyable movie with family, there are one or two moments with double meaning but they go pass by smooth. But as I mentioned, nothing makes it a theater watch. Not bad for rookie directorial project for the forgot his name. The guy from ham hai rahi pyaar ke. Solid 6.5/10.

Rubbish movie

The film was truly underwhelming, failing to deliver on its promise of entertainment. Most of the jokes fell flat, lacking the wit and humor expected from a comedy. The storyline was uninspired and lacked depth, making it difficult to engage with the characters or the plot. It's difficult to understand how some viewers are awarding it five stars and drawing comparisons to iconic films like "Dil Chahta Hai" and "3 Idiots." In my opinion, it was a regrettable experience that simply doesn't measure up to the standards set by those classics. Save your time and money for something more worthwhile..
