What a fun rock movie!!!
gutnick31 March 2024
I really enjoyed it! Great cast, lots of fun moments and the story just works. It brings me back to the days of Van Halen, Quiet Riot and KISS and so many other bands that were part of my life for which this movie certainly hits at home. If you like the movie Detroit Rock City you'll like this one!

It also brings back memories of Spinal tap, and other films about putting the band back together! If the Blues Brothers can put together a band from members over decades then maybe this movie can be a reality too! It's just a fun, simple story about music and rock and will the guy get the girl at the end as an overall feel good movie!

My Hard-to-Please Wife Loved It!

Frankly, our expectations for Rockbottom weren't high, and my smokin' hot wife will often fall asleep when she's bored.

Not this time. About 30 minutes in she exclaimed, "I love this movie!"

This was like Spinal Tap with a lot of over-the-top, tongue-in-cheek humor and the inevitable boy-meets-girl storyline. And while Tom Everett Scott may be best known for "An American Werewolf in Paris," I also thought of Rockbottom as almost a sequel to another fun movie of his, "That Thing You Do!" Hey, let's get the band back together!

Frankly, though, our favorite character was Danielle Kennedy's outlandish and raunchy, Agatha, the owner of a retirement home. She stole every scene and made the movie really fun.

Okay, it's not Oppenheimer or Barbie, but it's only one hour and 22 minutes!

Needless to say, we finished watching!

Old school with all generations rocking out!

Absolutely love this film. It's fast, funny, has lots of heart and the music brings me back to those great concert days before MTV. Great to see some talented musicians and even the young son Jake of Jon Bon Jovi. Tom Everett Scott is always such a natural actor and good dad.

It's also a family film that's a little risqué thanks to that rocker Grama they call Agatha that has a crush on the drummer. What a pistol she is. Nice to see young and old telling a story together. The whole cast was excellent and the film moved quickly with some great camera work and directing and acting and writing. Check it out!!
