Nailed it!

A retired DCI is killed on her houseboat, after it's torched, Annika's father decides it's time to go home, but not before his put several ideas into Morgan's head.

Wow, just as they did with the first series, they pulled it out of the bag in the season finale, they absolutely nailed it. That shocking conclusion was totally unexpected, well delivered, and certain to leave fans of the show desperately wanting more.

Morgan's story amounted to something quite substantially, as expected earlier on, she was to be placed in peril, with her parents coming to her aid.

Casting Jonathan Watson was a master stroke, we're all used to seeing him in Two doors down, nice to see him playing a sinister role, he was great, and lovely also to see the wonderful Rebecca Root.

It was great to finally see Kate Dickie aka DCI Oban playing a more active role, up until now this series she's just felt likes she's there to make up the numbers, here she was given some degree of purpose, it was good.

Please let there be a third series, and we want to see the excellent Sven Henriksen back.

Excellent.

9/10.

Headscratcher until Nikola Walker's interview

Warning: Spoilers
We heard the recording between the fire victim, Jackie, and someone named Magnus where he begged her [the victim) to hear his side of the story. Magnus said he would only take 10 minutes of Jackie's time. At the time, I didn't know Magnus was her father's first name. Annika stared intensely at the sketch of the perpetrator. Then she asked the viewer to help her as the fact that her father was the murderer was sinking in. He had come to Scotland to tie up loose ends from the murder investigation of a diver which jackie had been investigating prior to her retirement. The reason he had given Annika, a potential separation from his wife, was just a ruse.
