I recently listened to a two-part podcast episode about these Alex Murdaugh crimes back from when he was arrested in 2021. It did include many details-even the 911 calls- but I wanted to watch the Netflix docuseries because I was looking for more visual details. I did find what I was looking for! And I do feel like the story was very well told!
The only "but" for me personally is that I hate dramatizations. Just seconds into the intro I was about to turn this off and watch something else. I'm glad I didn't do that because dramatizations and all, the intro bit, as well as the rest of the episode and the next one, were great, actually!
I haven't finished the last episode yet and I still have the second season to go, but like I mentioned before, it's such a well-told story from such an insane -and at times confusing- case!! The family tree is very helpful in my opinion, so is the archive footage and, of course, the interviews with the friends and family involved in this whole mess are as heartbreaking as one can expect.
Well, if you also dislike dramatizations but want to watch this either way, I'd say go for it! I feel like the intro is the main part that made me go "oh, Jeez, should I even...?", but after you get through that, the show's mostly interviews, archive footage and the acting parts are kinda short since they're mostly fillers.
