I don't usually enjoy korean variety shows so I was pleasantly surprised by the cast. It was so much fun to watch. They have made it so interesting. All cast blends in so well. I like everyone so far especially Taehyung/ V is an interesting person. I can't wait for the next episode. I'm learning more about korean food from this show and hopefully I can try their recipes at home as well. My sister is who introduced me to this show. I love how I was smiling through out the episode. I can see the hardwork of everyone from the cast, crew and production of Jinny's Kitchen. Thank you for this show!!

This much anticipated series did not disappoint in their first episode. Even on the first episode you will see Seojin, Yumi, Wooshik, Seojoon and Taehyung already passionate in making Jinnys Restaurant a success. Multiple tasks has been carried out from staff deployment to food tasting and food preparation. It maybe overwhelming for all the staff members including the CEO. All the team members are all hands on deck ready to carry out their mission: to make Seojin happy!
Truly enjoyable and entertaining with just start of the show. Seojin, boss man. Yumi the lovely and sweet gimbap worker. Seojoon our hardworking chef. Wooshik and Taehyung the all around interns. Taehyung in his kind of debut in reality series is so endearing and sweet with all his co workers.
Hoping that this series will have a cult-like following. Four thumbs up! Hahaha.

He did his homework- cooking skills and Spanish! And his low key humor relaxes the boss, co-workers and viewers! His relaxed demeanor works well with the other actors- especially the owner! The Korean food looks delicious. They spared no expense to get the freshest ingredients in the idea of serving street food is perfect - better than a five-star restaurant! It's a great way to be introduced to the variety of Korean flavors and textures. I am looking forward to watching all the other episodes and see how the other actors relate to Tae's disarming charms. He was the perfect choice for this variety show.

The episode was fantastic!
It has the same premise as the Youn's Kitchen but this is a different location, more snack oriented and we now have Kim Taehyung who is just a personality and quirky one who even when doing nothing catches your attention. Everyone in the cast have different attitudes, sense of humor and how they handle stress that it only add to the show. Would have loved to see Ms. Youn interact with Taehyung :)
The location is so beautiful, green and by a lake famous for its different colors but seemed warm for Oct and humid. Will have to visit Bacalar, Mexico when it is cooler.

As a proud member of the BTS ARMY, I watched the first episode only for the septet's member V a.k.a Kim Taehyung. I was utterly excited to watch him do something new and hone his skills in cooking, serving, and as advertised by the makers; doing the dishes. The first episode delivered just that but also so much more.
The human side of the "World Star V" that fails hilariously yet works incredibly hard in his assigned tasks is beautifully highlighted in the episode. His laid-back fun attitude and bond with the crew is a joy to watch as well. This has also increased my expectations to see his growth as an intern/cook and how his rapport with the cast strengthens as the show progresses.
To the non-BTS ARMY viewers, Jinny's Kitchen is a wonderful show to pass time while learning about Korean Cuisine which has exponentially grown in popularity worldwide in the past few years. Watching top Korean actors working tirelessly to run a restaurant in a foreign country is refreshing but the icing on the cake is the chemistry and the fun banter among the five cast members. You will be laughing to your heart's content and also ordering some Korean food to quench your craving after the show.
I am rating the first episode a solid 10/10. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am looking forward to my weekly dose of the show.

Funny, charming and warm show

I really liked this show. I started watching because of Kim Taehyung but all of the cast is really amazing. They have good chemistry and the show is funny, warm and just feel good tv. There is banter, a nice balance between the seemingly cold and business oriented owner, the sweet director, balanced and level headed chef and manager and the goofy and loveable intern. They actually feel like a family at times and there is dimension to their personalities. You can see warmth and goofiness in the serious owner and manager but you also see hard work and diligence in the funny and loveable personalities of the director and intern. I really enjoyed it and the beautiful landscape only added to the colour of the show. Looking forward to more episodes and to the arrival of Choi Wooshik.

I just finished watching Episode 1 of Jinny's Kitchen on Prime Video! It's been one of the most anticipated Korean Variety shows on 2023 & I can truly understand why! They Show how a group of Koreans travel to Mexico to share their culture & food (The street Food in this case) with foreigners & I find this a very noble/honorable act for anyone to do for their country! The show hands down is amazing; It's so entertaining and fun to watch! The chemistry between the cast is truly Uncanny; Especially the two younger ones! So happy that there are still 9 more episodes to catch up with it! I Can't wait for the next Friday and Episode 2!

The show really exceeded my expectations, it was interesting and refreshing and not just an ordinary cooking show. There was never a dull moment because there's a good chemistry between the cast members, that you would think they have been together for so long. It was full of laughter and fun! The production is also high so I really enjoyed the cool shots of sceneries. Also, it was full of shining visuals of the cast members, especially Kim Taehyung. Isn't he the most handsome man after all? He was so cute and funny! Definitely, rewatching it over and over, I highly recommend everyone to watch it!

I followed him because only Taehyung is real, the most beautiful thing in the world, real Tae deserves to be a beloved star. I think it's a major reason for the success of the first episode in such a really great way that they are all lucky.
Tae will be present in the next season. I feel this, and he also gave us hints during the last meeting that there will be someone under his influence in the next season. I am very excited about this. Let's see what happens The new trainee, Kim Taehyung, took all my focus. When I was watching the episode, there was a smile on my face the whole time. That's what I mean when I say that Taehyung is the reason for my happiness in life. No one in the world makes me as happy as he can.

This show just started but it already feels like it's going to be a comfort show for everyone, it's filled with laugh, perfect bonding between casts and amazing food. 10/10 recommend. Lee seojin is perfect as a CEO who is money oriented but still take care of his employees. I've never seen him laugh and giggle like that so it's so cute and heartwarming watching him like that. Our new director yumi ssi is really pretty and perfect cook, I'm still in denial that she's 40. But seeing him take care of maknae and cooking gives relaxation. Park seojoon and woo-shik are such perfect guys for reality show. Always being naughty and making things interesting. And our maknae Kim Taehyung is perfect for such shows, he's a mood lifter and always filled with happiness and positivety, his smile works like therepy. He isn't much of cook so it would be interesting watching him struggle. Can't wait for more episodes.

I am totally in love with the show. There is such great chemistry between the cast. It is expected from soejoon, wooshik and taehyung since they are already best friends but yumi and soejin aren't that close to taehyung yet they all seem to get along amazingly from the get-go. Great great synergy.
Onto the food, it looks absolutely delicious, I found myself drooling while watching. For actors and entertainers, they really know how to prepare food. Loved it.
Looking forward to more episodes and to seeing the cute dynamic between the CEO and the cheeky new intern. Excited for the next episode

At the time of writing this, there were 42 reviews (presumably from BTS fans) and every single one rated this show 10/10.
How honest and realistic is that? Typically some had only watched one episode but insisted it is a 'must see'. Skewed ratings and reviews really don't help anyone, so here's a more balanced view of it.
I am an avid watcher of K-dramas and many of the "variety show" spin-offs that put actors into reality situations where they live in the countryside, cooking and working on farms, or working in restaurants, supermarkets, guest houses that they take over and manage for a couple of weeks. These shows are fun to watch and interaction with the locals contributes to the entertainment.
I'm halfway through this and have to say it's really quite boring. If you are happy to watch pretty actors washing up, frying corn dogs and doing the dishes for a couple of hours before wanting to close and leave for the day, this is for you. They worked a couple of hours here and there, took a day off after being open for only 2 days, turned customers away because they were having a break - a perfect recipe for how you don't run a business.
If you want to watch actors really work and run a business instead of playing at it, then 'Unexpected Business' featured a supermarket that opened at 7.00 am and closed at 10 pm, sold bus tickets, snacks, meals with alcohol, and served as the hub a small town revolved around. The celebrity "owners" became a part of the local business community, their famous part-timers who showed up one after the other to help out chatted to the customers, getting to know them, drawing out stories from them and the interaction between everyone was funny and interesting.
All that happens in Jinny's Kitchen is diners coming and going, saying "mmmmmmmm", then "thank you", and leaving. There is no interest, no entertainment, no personality to any of this whatsoever. It is bland and tedious, despite Choi Woo-shik and Kim Taehyung's friendly appeal. They seem to understand there should be some entertainment value in what we are watching, but the boss and the gimbap lady are totally colourless with zero personality. The glorious Park Seo-joon is trapped in the kitchen studiously boiling and frying behind the scenes and his interaction with the customers is basically nil and they have no idea he is there.
I will finish it and adjust this review if it picks up, but right now it's just meh and I'd recommend Unexpected Business as an example of how this kind of thing can be done successfully.

This was so beautiful to watch. I'm an army so I came here for Tae. But as always, wooga is awesome to watch and I met two very beautiful people. I love how Seojin is blunt and outspoken, it's tiring to be careful of your words everytime, I loved it! He is 50 years but he is so cute! I like how he is like a sweet but grumpy old man lmao.
Yumi is as cute as a puppy! Ah! She's 40? Nah, that woman right there is 20. So beautiful and cute. I love her relationship with the men. Especially with Tae and Seojin. I'm rooting for her gimbaps!!
Seo Joon is my man as always! I love how confident he is, how he tries to do his best and I'm so glad Tae has him in his life. I've seen all his dramas even before I became an army and he's always a fav.

Jenny's kitchen is a must watch. If you like reality shows like me, tune in every Friday on Amazon Prime and you won't regret it. You will keep smiling. All I can say is I have watched the show 4 times already. I literally watched the 4th time a few minutes ago. I can't wait for the second episode. I love the interaction between the cast and crew. Even though I starter cos of Taehung, I'm staying cos of how witty the whole show is. The boss is so business orientated but caring too. I love the location too. Mexico is beautiful. I can't wait to try Gimpap too and the corn dogs look so delicious.

I love it!! The first episode really keeps you watching. I honestly thought it was going to be over dramatic, but it really shows everyone and the reality that many restaurants face. I love it! It's funny in its own way and really focuses on the costumers. I love that Taehyung has joined them and hope that he's comfortable with the crew. So far everyone seems great! I was worried that they wouldn't treat TaeTae right because he's an idol. I thought that they might overcompensate or be too harsh on him. Everyone seems friendly and they got a good flow working between them. Jung Yu Mi is so adorable and hard working that you just want to give her a hug. Park Seo Jun is so reliable and Lee Seo Jin is hilarious in his own way. I can't stop smiling at his "greedy" smile.

I'm so in love with this. Can't wait for the next episode. It's so refreshing and fun to watch. The background music, interiors, sceneries and everything fits so perfect to watch. The whole show is a pleasant view to watch. The background music is cherry on top. The communication between the cast is good and funny. Their mistakes at starting and then learning where the flaws lies makes the show more good too watch. Taehyung is so good at learning things so fast. Seo jin represents the business owners so smoothly and genuinely. Their anticipation for customers and reviews makes the show feels so genuine and funny for me. Especially the idea of presenting a idol on the table to recognize the order is really a good strategy and nice idea. It simple makes customers so impressed. The whole ideas of the show are so good. Every person is so funny, genuine and lovable. Going to watch it till end.

What a wonderful time! This show really packed in so many interesting things. I love how Seojin is a strict boss from the very beginning and highlights pecking order. I can't wait to see more of the interns going head to head aiming for a promotion. All the characters/cast are so charming and personable. They are also very relatable employees-you can probably find one like them in your office! As adorable as the staff is, the editing was like something I've never seen before. The music and comments on the side made me feel like I was watching with someone. The editing is perfect and fits together really well. I cannot wait for next week's episode! I know I will be watching this one several times until then. Thank you for creating this show!

I love all the casts! Everyone's chemistry is on point. The concept is awesome and it shows and highlights the place really well. So it's the first episode and I'm loving it already! CEO Seo Jin is very handsome, strict, and funny in a way. Director Jung Yumi is so pretty, and I love it when she doesn't wear makeup. Love her enthusiasm. PSJ... as always, very charming and he's very good at what he does. Now the twins. Wooshik and Tae. Hahahahhahaha, I love these duo. They're so in tuned with each other like they're almost twins. Omfggggg it's my first time watching any reality show and top of that it's Korean and I'm loving this one It's so refreshing and heart warming....let me tell you after watching this you are gonna crave for Korean food lol ....
Chemistry between lead cast is so adorable specially Seojin and Taehyung's funny bunters are soul of the show ( Kim Taehyung is so cute ) and yesssss If you are lover of Korean culture then this show is definitely your type ....
I love how they interact with Spanish ppl with so much humbleness...
Totally recommend from my side watch this show with your family and friends.

The casting and the point behind the show is amazing. I knew Kim Taehyung but after watching the show I also fell in love with the rest of the cast, and they all get along so well. It's funny, entertaining and warm at the same time. It's interesting to see Mexicans coming to their restaurant and trying out Korean food. There is a lot of lovely dialogue between the customers, travellers, and the cast. Everyone is so polite as well. It's funny seeing the cast under pressure when their restaurant become full. There are definitely a lot of funny instances that go on. The show is one hell of a cultural experience!

Taehyung eating ramyeon all the time. Taehyung stretching. Taehyung making the opening time to 2:10pm. Taehyung existing through the whole show. He's generous, loving, genuine, helpful, funny as heck and VERY HANDSOME. Its different to see him acting instead of singing, but he's a great actor indeed. I hope he continues to do acting too as well as singing. Gonna miss him we he leaves for the military. Love him. 💜💜

watching Jinnys' kitchen i can relate mostly to kim taehyung because iam an intern too in my job i know how it feels being the youngest, least experienced of the people around you. But watching V working hard and trying his best reminds me of myself I try my best too to impress my boss, prove myself among my colleagues and even though i make alot of mistakes, i try to have fun too. I love watching V intern working hard and resembling all the interns around the world and also having fun with his friends seojoon and woosik.
