The animated comedy Marvel’s M.O.D.O.K. is set to premiere on May 21 and stars Patton Oswalt as the titular Marvel villain. Oswalt’s Modok is every bit the devious floating head that he’s depicted as in the comics. He’s also your every day family man and the show will take on the format of a workplace sitcom. Maria Lynn will retire as co-president of Wolfe Releasing at the end of March as co-president Jim Stephens assumes the role of sole president.
During her 22-year tenure Lynn helped steer the company as a leading distributor of Lgbt cinema.
“From the beginning, Maria has been a passionate supporter of Lgbt films and filmmakers,” said founder Kathy Wolfe. “She has played an integral role in the growth of our company and we will miss her incredible talent, dedication and passion.”
“Wolfe has been an amazing journey and I will forever be grateful for the experience of working with our partners, filmmakers and the Wolfe Pack,” said Lynn.
Stephens (pictured) was named co-president last year and has sat on the board since July 2013.
His credits include Reaching For The Moon, I Am Divine, Free Fall, Pit Stop, Five Dances and Tru Love.

The film based on a play by Vijay Tendulkar, also got its lead actor Veena Jamkar, a special mention from the Jury. The award included a trophy and a cash award of Rs 20,000 sponsored by Anupam Kher’s acting academy Actor Prepares.
Canadian film Tru Love won the top two awards – Best Narrative Feature Film and Best Actor in a Leading Role for Kate Trotter at the festival.
The Riyad Wadia award for Best Emerging Indian Filmmaker went to Sharon Flynn for her film I’dentity. The award includes a trophy and a cash award of Rs 15,000 sponsored by Wadia Movietone. The winner also gets HD shooting kit from Accord Equips for two days.

Julian Assange has joined the jury of the 21st Raindance Film Festival (Sept 25 - Oct 6), a London-based event that celebrates independent film in the UK and around the world.
The appointment is a controversial one. The Australian editor-in-chief and founder of WikiLeaks took refuge in the Ecuadorean embassy in London in June 2012 to avoid extradition to Sweden, where he is wanted for questioning about sexual assault allegations.
It is understood that he fears Sweden would extradite him to the Us, where he believes he is wanted in relation to WikiLeaks’ disclosure of a significant amount of classified Us military and diplomatic documents.
Commenting on Assange’s appointment, Raindance founder Elliot Grove said: “Every year Raindance invites interesting people to join our jury. In the past we have had musicians like Mick Jones, Marky Ramone and [link...
