Manoucheri and Nieto consistently referred to one of the locations as their "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" location as it had so much different landscape is worked for multiple re-enactments throughout the documentary.
Located in multiple shots in the documentary is a 25 cent Harvey's chip that the director found...along with an original 1980 Harvey's jean jacket used throughout the production. That, along with a suit and flannel shirts owned by the director.
Since they needed people to do re-enactments for the bombers' sons in the production, the director's kids, Noah and Sam, play the two bomber's children in re-enactments in the production.
While there are a number of pictures of the Harvey's bomb, there are none of its construction or anything like that. The production made a non-working reproduction of the bomb from the dimensions Bill Jonkey laid out and used road flares to double as dynamite.
The directors couldn't find a phone booth with a phone in it that matched the 1980 look so they found an empty one and bought an actual payphone on Ebay from someone in Michigan.
