The film was released in all the Argentine Provinces but Santa Cruz (where Néstor Kirchner himself was born and served as Mayor 1987-1991 and Governor 1991-2003), because there are no movie theaters there.
The film was first made by prestigious filmmaker Adrián Caetano, then sacked by the producers due to "esthetic disagreements". So they contracted Paula De Luque (filmmaker, strongly linked with Néstor Kirchner's political movement) to make the movie again. Caetano's version has never been totally neither partially released, until April 30, 2013, when was leaked by the blog "Los trabajos prácticos".
Hugo Moyano, leader of CGT and truck drivers Trade Union, stated that the producers of the film asked him to donate one Million ARS$ from the Trade Union's funds, and he denied. About the movie itself, he expressed that it tries "to make Néstor Kirchner look like a modern 'Che' Guevara".
