The episode starts off with a closeup view of an eye and then pans out to show the Governor's (David Morrissey) face. The premier episode for this season starts out the same way, only when the camera pans out it reveals a walker's face. Possibly a metaphor for how the season starts off with walkers being the biggest danger to the group and ends with them learning that other people are often a greater threat to them.
This is the first time Beth (Emily Kinney) has left the prison since the group's arrival at the start of the season.
The music at the close of the episode is not the usual TWD theme, but a melancholy piano ballad.
When the armed group from Woodbury is searching for Rick (Andrew Lincoln) and the others in the prison and the Governor (David Morrissey) picks up the bible, the verse that is highlighted is John 5:29.
