Cissy Brings Down The Whole Show Again, This Time Destroys It
sumtim3s00n13 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
This couldve been one of the best tv shows on drugs theme. Main problem since season one has been of course Cissy , Skyler from BB or Jar Jar from SW type character, totally unlikeable and often writen with contradictions or plain badly.

And now shes the one that has destroyed the show's chance to be one of the best. The show had often great writing, unpredictable twists, things happening as you expected them to only to a minute later change direction.

But this episode was the most on the nose, the lamest , horrible writing in the whole show. Shooting Teddy seconds before transfer is tantamount to writing style by 5yo, imagination level of a dry twig, completely again changing her supposed ex-black panters, stoic and in charge character into a mindless bimbo in her 20s completely acting on emotions.

They could easily let him transfer funds and then in the last episode implement some Citizen Kane parables with Franklin having the money but then the hitmen (or something from past) comes and he is left with all the material goods he ever wanted but alone and empty. Or whatever... but this nonsense.

The worst episode of the show and one of the LAMEST story events in any show, a warning on how NOT to write.

Some people may disagree, but hear me out

Warning: Spoilers
My favorite episode of any show just behind Ozymandias (Breaking Bad). The build up to this episode was second to none and really showed us the demon Franklin has become. He only cared about the money and was willing to sacrifice relationships with his family for money. He was consumed by greed and pride and the Russian roulette had me on edge of my toes. The Teddy/Franklin parallel is phenomenal writing. I've never been so surprised at the ending of an episode ever, my jaw dropped. Even at the credits where the phone is still ringing gave me chills. But I understood it. Cissy recognized the demon Franklin has become and took matter into her own hands. Some may be mad at the fact, he can't retrieve his money, but he just didn't know when to stop and when enough was enough. Teddy cannot be trusted, so we are unsure if he was even telling the truth about splitting the money. The name of the episode tells you it all, Cissy sacrificed herself in order to free Franklin from this obsession and imaginative lifestyle he had planned for himself. He was so infested with greed that that was what he unfortunately deserved.

Disappointing
VH1jesse14 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Truly disappointing. One of the things I never understood about this show is why cissy was always around. She was just annoying the entire time and for some reason always gets her demands met. And of course she was behind the most annoying twist the show has done yet. Couple things about this episode that didn't make sense: why does cissy get a say in anything Franklin does at this point if he's lost his mind? Why on earth would you agree to bring your mother to an exchange like that? Especially when she's the one that clearly wants teddy dead? Bring a hired person or Leon regardless of what cissy wants. And why is Franklin not standing right next to teddy while he's on the pay phone making sure the transfer is going the way he wants it to? There's no reason he should've let Cissy near teddy at that point. Just poor decision making from a person that has been very calculated with all of his moves over the course of the season. It doesn't make sense. Annoying twist, poor writing, nonsensical decisions. If this is the outcome they wanted there were more creative ways to go about it then "the password is..." *gunshots*. Would've rather seen her give teddy to the kgb while Franklin was gone. Still would've been annoying but at least it would've required some creativity and would've made sense. Very rare L for FX here, normally on their game but this one wasn't it.

Garbage writing
dgoldstein-6690514 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
The ending of episode 8 was just what we wanted and I was eager to see the resolve. Episode 9 began with promise and went bad quickly. Teddy turned in to a spineless whiner. Leon just sat there looking stupid. Franklin leaves them with Teddy alone and jets off to "keep his word". Total crap. What I liked about this show was how Franklin always outsmarted the competition. When mom entered the room I knew the show would turn for the worst. So predictable and stupid. Franklin is smarter than this. Mom would have never been anywhere close to the torture or handoff. Just wasted 59 hours of my life. I hate it when shows blow the ending.

How to butcher a show
Xavier_Stone16 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
For the most part this episode was generally good, but then things get off the rails and Franklin just can't seem to escape his mom for some reason. Her motivations are so obvious that the ending is predictable and she is written to fall on her sword because Teddy can't keep his mouth shut for another 2 minutes.

This trashes the episode and the entire series. Much like the GoT, there were at least 3-8 suggested endings and they happened to pick one of the worst.

For a show that had it's ups and downs, this last season has been just straight garbage. I would have thought that after the GoT meltdown, more studios would be conscious of the fact that a good ending leads itself to rewatching and a better packaged product for syndication.

Having such a poorly written ending is just the most basic of amateur hour. Such a dissapointment. 1/10. Can't recommend this show to anyone.

Tired
mongobongokongo13 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Franklin's family sabotaging him at every vital moment is getting reaaaaal old... Glad that Teddy finally died, though Franklin would've probably shot him anyway if Cissy didn't sabotage him there as well.

I really hate it when shows like this one just end up getting stuck on all types of weird inconveniences to avoid really progressing the story. It just really stops the momentum and it's repeated so many times in this show, whether it's Cissy, Louie, Alton or whoever else Franklin thinks he can trust. Suddenly they just spaz out and sidetrack the entire story. At least Alton had the decency to sit this season out (though we still heard about him constantly).

Worst Episode So Far
rotsen-8057014 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Truly believe every other episode of the show is a 9-10. This is a 2 at best but giving it a 1 for the decision making of the characters to take Teddy out of the building to begin with. They could have easily walked into a trap and the government didn't screw them over, which goes against everything the show has been about. Mom did.

I've hated her character for a while and she knows what this will do to Franklin.

I did love when Teddy told her he lied and killed Alton. I feel the same way Franklin did about him and a mother.

Hopefully Oso makes it but I don't even care about the finale now.

Gotta agree
acj-6500423 April 2023
Warning: Spoilers
With most of these other low reviews. The decisions made by all the characters made zero sense. Cissy could have waited 5 more minutes for Teddy to make the transfer and then shot him. Everyone would have gotten what they wanted.

So sick and tired of these shows just absolutely butchering character arcs and intelligence for the sake of some stupid shock factor or twist. I've spent 6 seasons watching this show get progressively worse so I don't know what I expected. I guess that's my fault for thinking they could come up with something halfway competent. At this point I don't really even care what happens in the last episode because the writers have shown that they have no idea what they're doing.

The worst episode of the show
marcuslie-2274613 April 2023
The whole build up of the entire show has been stunning, there were parts where I was slightly annoyed where the protagonist did some unrealistic stuff. This episode turned the show from good to terrible, the last ten second I foresaw the ending, and it just doesn't make sense. I shut off my TV in annoyance and I refuse to see the complete ending. Talk about a waste of time.

I thought GOT was silly, but if you're up for a let down, watch the entire thing, but I wish I started with the ending and went back. That would make more sense.

The acting is good, the characters are mostly good, but all in all, it doesn't matter when they fail at the finish line.

What were the writers thinking?
renaudbrianna-7549118 May 2023
Warning: Spoilers
My brain hurts from the ending of this show. I'm confused on how the writers wrote 6 well done seasons and then came up with this. It's just like the Game of Thrones we're you stick with a show for years just to have the ending be garbage. It's like I watched it for no reason.

First off Cissy has been a pain in the ass the whole show. She is so annoying and self righteous. I wish she died instead of Jerome. I don't get why she couldn't wait 2 more seconds for her son to get his stolen money back. I don't care if he made the money distributing drugs, he earned and it was his and had every right to want it back. Cissy shooting Teddy made no sense and no one in reality would play it like that.

Secondly Louie is just as annoying. Why is she blaming everything on Franklin? How can she even thinks anything is his fault? It was her decisions that lead to Jerome getting killed and led her to the DEA. Franklin is the only reason they became who they are.

Horrible ending, I'm so disappointed.

Worst ending for a very descent show
artyhello7 September 2023
Warning: Spoilers
Can't believe that such a great show was ruined by a few weird writers' decisions. It obviously doesn't pretend to be a classic gangster series like Sopranos etc., but most of the episodes were like 7-10/10 and the production team proved their talent and smart approach more and more as the show progressed.

But this episode is complete nonsense from the beginning, as some dumb kid wrote the script without knowing anything about the whole show and the characters' arcs.

Why Franklin even bring Leon and Cissy to this warehouse? To show how far he can go to get his bread? Why let them speak to two complete manipulators/psychos, who can obviously drag everyone into trouble? Why leave the building? Why he brought mom to the risky meeting? With his money, he could hire a personal army but he chose to pick the most moralist person in the world. There are literally a ton of questions on each second of the episode that make it so cringy and sad to watch. I was like "Nooooooo" the whole 50 mins.

Game of Thrones turn of event
ansku-126 April 2023
This episode was awful and stands out as the worst of the whole series. But I haven't watched the next episode yet and I'm unsure if I should. The mother character flip flopping makes no sense and she was the most annoying + unnecessary character of the whole series. I don't know what the writers thought? After the whole build up this was painful and cringe to watch. A huge letdown for us, the audience. Also, same as with the ridiculous ending of The Game of Thrones series, Snowfall has now become officially unrewatchable. Because now we know how stupid it ends. I am super disappointed. I guess I can spare the last episode as I don't care anymore.
