“Mad Max” superfan and creator of the “Metal Gear” and “Death Stranding” video game series Hideo Kojima has seen the new film “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” and his reaction does not disappoint. Posting to X, formerly known as Twitter, Kojima released pictures of himself from the theater — his eyes misty from the experience.
“Witnessed ‘Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga!’ Kojima said in his post. “This movie, which easily surpasses ‘Mad’ and even past ‘Fury’, is at its ‘Max’ (masterpiece)! Ever since I saw the first film when I was 16 years old, George Miller has saved me, encouraged me, and changed my way of life countless times. He is my God, and the Saga that he tells is my Bible.”
This is not the first time Kojima has expressed his adulation for maestro George Miller. Back when they met in 2015, he said, “My games were made with a lot of genes inherited from George Miller.

Despite ancient humans having already overcome several potential doomsday scenarios in real life, post-apocalyptic fiction used to be relatively rare until the invention of the atomic bomb convinced us that the end of the world could be just around the proverbial corner.
Since then, we’ve seen many different stories about the collapse of civilization and the strange societies that might emerge from the rubble, but I’d argue that one of the most interesting of these apocalyptic visions is the post-nuclear America of the iconic Fallout games. A witty satire of American jingoism and cold war shenanigans, it’s honestly baffling that it so long for us to finally see a live-action adaptation of this memorable setting.
Thankfully, Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet’s Fallout TV show isn’t just a great adaptation – it’s also an incredibly fun standalone story that makes the most of its post-apocalyptic worldbuilding.

As one of the most legendary video game developers, Hideo Kojima has made a reputation for himself in the industry. From the likes of Metal Gear Solid to Death Stranding, Kojima has a knack for creating amazing stories and engaging gameplay for the player.
Through his nearly four-decade-long career, he’s also had many ideas and projects that have not met the light of day. Remember Silent Hills?
One project that Kojima talked about in the early 2000s was his idea of a “raw game.” The player would be able to play this “raw game” for years if they wanted to. But if they die, the game will end forever.
A very ambitious idea from Hideo Kojima that has not seen the light of day yet. If this project did take off, how would the gaming industry be today?
Hideo Kojima’s Idea for a ‘Raw Game’ No lives. No retries.

Aside from several members of the cast, like Norman Reedus, Léa Seydoux, Elle Fanning, and the popular Troy Baker, there is almost no information about the game. This is mainly because of how secretive Japanese gaming companies are about their projects. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach doesn’t seem to be different from this.

David Cronenberg is set to release his most personal film yet with “The Shrouds.” But it won’t involve Léa Seydoux.
The supernatural drama stars Vincent Cassel as a grieving businessman who builds a state-of-the-art device that helps people reconnect with the dead, unraveling memories of his late wife in the process. Cronenberg was inspired to write and direct the film, originally conceived as a series at Netflix before the streamer passed, after the death of his own wife, film editor Carolyn Cronenberg, in 2017.
Cronenberg originally cast Léa Seydoux as the co-lead opposite Vincent Cassel. The director first worked with Seydoux on “Crimes of the Future,” where she starred as one-half of a performance artist couple who perform surgeries before live audiences, opposite Viggo Mortensen. But while the Canadian filmmaker’s 2022 production was a mix of English-speaking actors from Europe and the U.S., “The Shrouds” proved a different challenge...

Call of Duty is one of the most popular gaming franchises of all time, generating countless games and spinoff titles that tackle realistic stories to campaigns that are inspired by science fiction, as well as a dedicated live service multiplayer game called Warzone. The potential and convenience mobile gaming can bring can be a game changer.
Activision thought it would be fitting to not limit Warzone to consoles and PCs and to develop a mobile port but ended up disappointing.
Call Of Duty: Warzone Mobile Is A Technical Mess
Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is receiving negative reviews from Android users.
Mobile gaming has been around since the rise of touchscreen devices that have enough power to generate and run video games. As time went on, mobile technology has advanced as well to a point that can allow users to launch triple-a games like Death Stranding natively and exclusively on the iPhone 15 Pro Max.

By the luck of the Irish, a new film in The Boondock Saints series is getting locked and loaded! Deadline says the project is reimagining the brotherly action setup, with Thunder Road, the producer behind John Wick, turning the duo loose on audiences. Thunder Road will partner with Dragonfly Films for the project, with Norman Reedus and Sean Patrick Flanery reprising their roles from the original films.
Deadline‘s report says Troy Duffy, who helmed the first two films in the series (The Boondock Saints and The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day), will not direct the new movie. The Boondock Saints reimagining revolves around the fraternal twin Irish MacManus Brothers, Connor (Flanery) and Murphy (Reedus), finding new Saints to carry their torch. Although he’s relinquishing the director’s chair, Troy Duffy is still in the Boondock Saints business. Rather than shoot the next film in the series, he...

Hideo Kojima’s love for cinema isn’t hidden from the world. Everyone who follows him on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) must be well acquainted with their feeds full of his day where he’ll share a movie or two, either a review or simply what he watched. The video game auteur took the fans by surprise hilariously when his recommendations included a documentary based on him.
With almost 38 years in the industry, he has decked out the video games industry with titles like Metal Gear, Snatchers, and most recently Death Stranding. The last one became a prophecy for the Covid-19 pandemic where humans preferred to stay in isolation, depriving themselves of any connection to the outer world.

There are not many directors in the gaming industry who deserve to be called legendary, with only a few arguably having made that distinction. Hidetaka Miyazaki, Hideki Kamiya, Todd Howard, and, of course, Hideo Kojima come to mind. Some gamers would even go as far as saying that at least Hideo Kojima would be excellent, if he ever made movies.
And this reference is not lost on most of his fans. After all, he has taken inspiration from movies in his work for a very long time. And it shows too; every single game of his is full of cinematic cutscenes and slow-motion action sequences. Yet, whenever a movie was made about his game, he did not direct it. Why?

Dune 2 has been released all over the world and has garnered universal praise for the story, performances, and visual effects which are all important in the checklist of the Japanese visionary, Hideo Kojima as he put out a brief but detailed essay on his X page, unlike the two-word review of Sony’s latest bomb Madame Web. Hideo is passionate when it comes to films and oftentimes his work will reflect that and it is a sight to see a director praise another from a different form of art.

Hideo Kojima’s review of Dune: Part Two might be the best compliment the Denis Villeneuve movie received. The film managed to change the perspective of the world-famous video game designer in favor of theatrical movies. Kojima was completely blown off by the unprecedented detail and realism in the film. He went on to claim that films like Dune 2 will delay the subscription services from altering the cinematic experience forever.

Video-game-maker turned filmmaker Hideo Kojima is pointing to “Dune: Part Two” — and its premium large-screen experience, specifically — as the future of film.
The “Death Stranding” creator took to X (formerly known as Twitter) to applaud Denis Villeneuve’s epic sequel. Kojima also admitted he was getting a little too comfortable with the idea of streaming movies on a phone or tablet. “Dune: Part Two,” however, was an exception for him — and it was an exceptional experience.
“Even as a movie buff, I was beginning to think it was time for me to start watching movies on my smartphone or tablet. However, when I watched ‘Dune: Part 2,’ my rigid ways of thinking crumbled like sand!” Kojima wrote. “It meticulously depicts the non-existent world of Arrakis, bringing it to life with unprecedented detail and realism. While portraying revolution and love, fear and awe on the same axis, it magnificently captivates destruction and aestheticism in beautiful layers.

Denis Villeneuve’s “Dune: Part Two” has been earning rave reviews across the board from film critics and audiences, but perhaps no reaction is bigger than the one shared by “Death Stranding” creator Hideo Kojima. The video game master wrote to this 3.7 million followers on X (formerly Twitter) that “Dune: Part Two” is such monumental cinema that it is singlehandedly acting as a “resistance” to the dominance of streaming platforms.
“Even as a movie buff, I was beginning to think it was time for me to start watching movies on my smartphone or tablet,” Kojima admitted. “However, when I watched ‘Dune: Part Two’ my rigid ways of thinking crumbled like sand! Both Neil Druckmann, the writer and director at Naughty Dog, and Hideo Kojima, the legendary visionary, have contributed significantly to the gaming industry. While Druckmann expressed the difficulty of making massive triple-a games, which took a toll on his life, Kojima has plotted various projects with different publishers and film companies to develop new games and a live-action movie in his quest to elevate cinema and break the boundaries between film and gaming, as Druckmann is waiting for his endgame.
Neil is a talented gameplay programmer who worked on Naughty Dog projects including Jak 3 and Jak X. He contributed to the story development of Uncharted games and directed The Last of Us, Uncharted 4, and The Last of Us Part II. Hideo Kojima is a video game auteur known for his complex stories and large-scale projects. Despite his success, the ambitious director doesn’t know the meaning of the word stop.

After many years of very horrendous movie and TV adaptations, the golden age of videogames in other media could be real. Many new videogame adaptations have been a tremendous success, like The Last of Us or The Super Mario Bros Movie.
The Fallout series that Amazon Prime Video will release this year could be another hit for adaptations. The Fallout TV adaptation will be available in April, and the showrunner of this series has much confidence in this product and talked about new possible seasons.

Since the first adaptations of a videogame into a movie or TV series, Hollywood has had several problems in the past with respecting and adapting the source material. However, in the last couple of years, this has changed drastically.

Hideo Kojima has directed masterpieces across the years and certainly is an authority when it comes to quality story-telling, and occasionally sharing his two cents when it comes to movies, his recent one-sentence review with Madame Web speaks volumes about how he feels about the movie despite having a strong relationship with Sony. The quality of superhero movies has taken quite a tumble, and Kojima, an advocate of cinema, didn’t have anything to say at all about the latest entry of Sony’s Spider-Man Universe.
The moment Sony announced that they would capitalize and build their cinematic universe about Spider-Man characters but not even having him around, it was a ticking time bomb. Their films are either mediocre like Venom and his underwhelming sequel or plain bad like Morbius, and it would be criminal to not mention Madame Web in this category. Since time immemorial, storytellers have been fascinated by the near-supernatural connection between people and their trusty vehicles. At first, it was just with horses and their wheeled extensions, but the rise of the automobile and the freedom that it appeared to represent soon led us to bond with inanimate objects – and our stories adjusted accordingly. And yet, with the exception of certain racing simulators, few video games dare to focus on the more esoteric side of owning and maintaining a beloved vehicle.
This is what initially attracted me to Ironwood Studios’ Pacific Drive, a survival-horror driving sim that puts players behind the wheel of a quirky station wagon stranded in a supernaturally-afflicted version of 1990s Cascadia. And while traversing a wasteland from the inside of a customizable vehicle isn’t exactly a novel idea, it’s never been the central game mechanic quite like this before.

Bloodborne‘s release on PS4 in 2015 was a venerable moment in history. FromSoftware taking a break from Dark Souls to create the beautiful gothic world of Yharnam absolutely enchanted players. Short wonder then that it accrued universal acclaim, scored a 92 on Metacritic, and sold several million copies to date.
However, as pretty as the game looked, it still had its limitations. If you could look past the 30fps cap, the jittery frame pacing was sure to irritate. Developing video games is not a cheap hobby, there are multitudes of layers to understand and people to go through that will occasionally challenge the feasibility of the project and may not see the light of day. Sony filled in the void and backed Kojima’s first new and original IP while respecting his independence.
