Banks' brother was into some really deep stuff. As Banks investigates, he begins to find out about a prostitution ring that Roy was involved in. Then we find out that there are children for sale. There were motivations that are much more deadly in their scope than a simple case of murder. The show goes up a notch as Banks works well with his new superior.

After an unsatisfactory first episode where Banks did not call his office or read a newspaper or listen to the news on the radio so he would have gathered some up to date news.
Banks and Morton decide to join forces in the second episode after some initial coolness between them.
Either Roy killed Jennifer Lewis and then killed himself. Or both of them were murdered.
The key is Roy's business partner Gareth Lambert.
There is a lot to get through. Roy was involved in an escort business that was a front for prostitution.
There was also an Illegal adoption racket mixed with unethical medical procedures.
It is a question of how far a parent would go to save their child and the collateral damage involved.
You get to find a little more about Banks family life especially the relationship with his parents.
Just as with Cabbot. Morton acquires some respect for Banks.
It is a shame that the story started off on a false note.
