. . . "People come and go so quickly here." During DANGER IN THE DESERT, Death Valley Dolly pops up like a crazed diamondback rattlesnake striking straight for the jugular. This angular wicked wench throws her monkey wrench into Rocky and Bullwinkle's works whenever they leave her an opening. Some have argued that her patsy Boris, or Fearless Leader, or even Mr. Big is at the heart of the darkness pervading these plots, but any close observer will realize that it's Death Valley Dolly and her many other witch-she incarnations that truly is making the evil go around. Unfortunately, it's impossible to drive a stake through the ticker of this heartless dame.

. . . American Working Class by reciting one of the most beloved odes to honest labor from World Literature, Hank Long-Feller's THE VILLAGE BLACKSMITH. The True Blue Union Label U. S. Moose delivers this testimonial to muscles, sinews and brawn while standing under a spreading chestnut tree, hammering horseshoes and making bellows billow. Bullwinkle is not the sort of malingering miscreant who would expect a million-buck gift from a slumlord dad, and use a portion of it to entice a bogus physician to invent bone spurs, allowing someone else to die in his place overseas. As one hammering a sledge over an anvil, Bullwinkle would have no truck with anyone unable to wield anything weightier than a golf club.

Rocky and Bullwinkle continue to search for Mr. Flatten. Boris, disguised as prospector Mojave Max, decide the best route for double crossing R & B is to simply follow them. But this is not easy because the signs don't take them anywhere. The special features are not great. "Cinderella Returns" is a Fractured Fairy Tale about a scatterbrained Cinderella who wants to get into the castle and marry the Prince. Peabody and Sherman visit boxer John L. Sullivan whose mustache is so heavy, he keeps tipping over! Don't ask.
