Busty Housewives of Beverly Hills (2012)

** (out of 4)

Another no plot soft-core flick from director Fred Olen Ray has a couple inheriting a house in Beverly Hills where the man uses his hypnotizing skills to get women to have sex with him. Or, something like that. If you're watching this type of film in the early hours of the morning on HBO then you're not looking for sharp acting, dramatic stories or anything like that. You're basically looking for a cheap good time and for the most part this film delivers for fans of the genre. Considering where sexuality is in the world and considering you can get porn for free, I'm not really certain how important these films are today, although I guess you could argue. like in the 80s, kids staying up late to get some cheap nudity might mean this type of stuff is still needed. This one here features around eight different sex scenes, which include girl on boy, a threesome, a shower sequence and various other ones. For the most part the scenes feature some very good looking women with Kelli McCarty, Beverly Lynne, Kylee Nash and Jade Starr doing the action. Lynne certainly has the highlight in the film with her shower sequence. You also can't take your eyes off her enormously large (and painful looking) breasts. Even Ted Newsom gets to have a couple funny scenes here. You're going to know whether or not this type of film is going to be your thing. I can't say there's anything going on here that makes it a must see but if you like the genre and you're up early in the morning, go for it.

Hypno-vista-- now its time to buy popcorn

I suppose Ray needed a new gimmick to attract viewers to his new film since the plot seems very empty and improvised during the second half. One can only find the line bloopers from the gangster Carmine (Evan Stone) funny a certain number of times. The whole film seems like a cast party in search of a plot after they've put on their clothes from the sex scenes. These are good as usual, but the mood is somewhat damaged by captions from hypno-vista. Just avoid fast forward and you won't see most of them. The plot needs a script doctor to sharpen it up. George is hiding the fact he swindled investors out of a lot of money to make low budget movies. Couldn't he just have scammed them out of money when he didn't make a movie with it at all? The inside film humor is grating also, like where Rinaldi's wife wants to seduce George to get a part in his next film..and he didn't really have a plan to make that film, yet! Plus, why would you name a gangster Carmine? What's wrong with Joey or Louie?
