Best 40's set thing ever

This episode in particular is great because it really hooks you in to the show well.

Simon Pegg is in this, Milo Ventimiglia is in this, and Jon Bernthal stars. Plus basically every other person you've seen before.

It's well directed and written thanks to Frank Darabont. I also love Tattersall's cinematography. All of that plus the cast helps make the low budget 100% tolerable.

Onto Episode 2! (Currently re-watching. Saw Episode 1 on 1/29/21. Watched the last five today.)

Warning: Spoilers
The atmosphere as we go back and forth between 1922 and 1947 seems to be quite realistic.

When we have people such as Bugsy Siegel and Mickey Cohen, let's at least get actors who appear to be Jewish by looks.

Heckie Nash certainly got more than he bargained for when he hires a cop to help him carry out a bribery attempt against the mob. Go know that our police officer would put three bullets into him.

Quite a dilemma for the mob. Unlike the police, they figure out right away what the police officer has done. The office brass seems mystified.

We see from earlier times why the police officer made it to commissioner. It is simply called bravery.
