The Curse of Kazuo Umezu (1990) features two atmospheric creepy tales. The first consists of a bloodthirsty parasitic demonic entity and the second revolves around a haunted mansion that dismembers those who dare enter.

This is an anthology so, there's a little problem when the movie gives us more than 1 story: there will always be the best story, the fillers and the worst story.
In this case, the movie delivers 2 stories and all i can say is that both are fun, but there's no way the 2nd tale is better than the 1st.
1- The vampire insomniac girl
2- The friends visiting a haunted house
It would be better if two stories weren't together

I think the first story with Masami being turned into a monster was a fairly interesting the second because it was basically just teen girls going on a pointless adventure ride in a haunted mansion. With the first story, I really felt the thrill even if I didn't find it that scary or terrifying. It reminds me of Tim Burton in a way with the animations dark side! I even liked the way Masami turns into a very interesting monster that pretty much kills anything in its path. She basically doesn't know this until she sees herself being recorded when she's awake.
Although I wouldn't consider this the best horror two story piece anime I've seen, I definately would recommend it for Halloween through!
