- While obviously never shown, there is a visual reference in a flashback scene to a sexual encounter between a 13 year old girl and a full grown man, as a scene at the foot of a bed in a bed & breakfast hotel depicts the girl's clothing on the floor at the foot of the bed.
- A man and a woman (now 28) graphically discuss their sexual encounter when the girl was 13 years old (and he was still a full grown adult).
- Una is seen having sex with a random stranger in a bathroom at a nightclub. No nudity is shown, but the sounds of sex, and thrusting body movements can be seen.
- Una is shown in a shower scene, breasts shown.
- Young Una is seen smiling, walking toward someone, shirt open, bra and cleavage seen.
- Una and Scott have sex at his apartment, her breasts are seen.
- Una and Ray start having sex in the locker room, she gives him a hand job, we see her breast briefly.
- There are explicit conversations about the sexual grooming and statutory rape of Ray to Una when she was 13.

- The entire plot surrounds a woman, now 28, confronting a much older man with whom she had a sexual relationship when she was 13 years old. The frank discussion and flashback scenes can be very disturbing and even frightening to some viewers.
- Una and Ray argue about their past, she spits on him.
- There is a scene in the beginning of the film with stroboscopic lights which could be triggering for epileptics.
